new Delhi. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamnai on Thursday targeted the Indian government over the Delhi riots. He linked the violence last month on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to religion. Khamnai has said that Muslims are in danger in view of the current situation in India. At present, there has been no response from India in this matter, but Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted and thanked Khamnai and attacked the Modi government for Kashmiri Muslims.

Shiromani Akali Dal MP Naresh Gujral has written to Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, accusing the Delhi Police of inaction and apathy while dealing with complaints during the violent clashes in northeast Delhi since Sunday, in which 35 people have been killed and over 200 injured.
