Delhi riots : Amanatullah Khan asked for copy of all FIRs till Monday, know the reason

Amantullah Khan, the chairman of the Minorities Welfare Committee of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, has directed the authorities to provide copies of all the FIRs registered in connection with the communal violence in north-east Delhi and to pay compensation to the victims at the earliest.

In a meeting on Friday with Delhi government officials, Amanatullah Khan discussed the progress of the cases registered and the status of compensation paid to the affected people.

Amanatullah Khan directed the authorities to provide copies of all the FIRs registered in connection with the riots till Monday. He also said that the police should take action against the culprits without considering their religion. 

The meeting was attended by members of the committee, MLAs and senior officials including Principal Secretary (Home) of the Delhi government. Delhi Waqf Board officials Hafiz Mahmood Khan, Nishab Khan and Mohammad Qasim also attended the meeting.

A statement said that Amanatullah Khan asked the Principal Secretary to raise the complaints of the affected people against the police along with the Delhi Police Commissioner. 

He also said that he was questioned about compensation to members of his family and those who lost properties in the violence. The statement said that Khan said that all the victims, who have lost their family members or homes and other properties, should be paid compensation as soon as possible.
