Jadon Sancho transfer implications as Man Utd agree £40m Donny van de Beek deal

Manchester United look set to finally get their summer transfer window going after agreeing a deal to sign Donny van de Beek.

The Red Devils are set to sign the Ajax midfielder on a five-year deal with an option for an extra 12 months after agreeing a £40million fee.

Van de Beek will head to Old Trafford in the coming days to complete his move as he becomes the first big-name capture of what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes will be a productive window.

And, according to The Telegraph, the signing of Van de Beek will not impact United’s desire to add a right sided attacker this summer.

That means that they are likely to still be keen on a deal for Jadon Sancho for the right price.

United are only willing to pay around £80million for the England winger and are considering alternative targets.

But should the price be right for Sancho or another alternative, they will still act despite spending a hefty fee on Van de Beek.

The coronavirus pandemic has had serious financial implications for clubs and United have not been immune.
