The famous businesswoman Kylie Jenner started 2021 with a cleanup on her Instagram account, where she stopped following several celebrities, including the singer Rosalía.

This purification took his followers by surprise, who began to suspect the reasons why Kendall Jenner’s sister would have stopped following celebrities like her friend Sofia Richie.

However, what caught the attention of his followers the most is that the reality star ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ gave him unfollow to the interpreter of ‘With height’, with whom he had struck up a good friendship and which he showed off through Instagram.

The creator of Kylie Cosmetics now he only follows 33 people, among which his sisters stand out, the occasional account of his fans, very close friends like Stassie Karanikolaou, and of course, the father of his daughter Stormi, Travis Scott.

Among the rumors of the reason for the unfollow of the 23-year-old businesswoman, and perhaps a possible breakdown of the friendship with Rosalía, are an alleged attack of jealousy after the publication of some stories of the Catalan tasting the alcoholic drink of Kylie’s ex, who would later share them on her account.

The two celebrities met after Travis’ collaboration with Rosalía on the song ‘TKN’, where Stormi even appeared in the music video. The relationship between the two celebrities seemed so good that the Kardashians even invited her to their Christmas dinner.

Currently, the socialite has 208 million followers on this famous social network.

Soho Karen’s mom stopped by cops on a drive in California after she breaks her silence

The woman dubbed ‘Soho Karen’, 22-year-old Miya Ponsetto, who was filmed assaulting a black boy who she accused of stealing her iPhone, has spoken out for the first time since the incident in a New York hotel last month.

In video, shared on social media by the NYPD Ponsetto can be seen suddenly running at 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr. and grabbing him by the waist in the Arlo Hotel.

The teen was tackled to the ground. Ponsetto is yet to be charged with any crime but she was stopped by a reporter as she went to pick up a McDonald’s on Saturday.

In video of Miya she is asked how she is holding up given everything she is going through but ignored the reporters’ questions and refused to answer directly.

Earlier this weekend, Miya Ponsetto was seen for the first time since the viral video she was featured in as she was caught accusing the 14-year-old son of jazz trumpeter, Keyon Harrold of stealing her iPhone

‘Do you have any regrets about what happened the other day?’ the reporter asks.

‘I’m good,’ Miya replies. ‘Have a very good day. Take care of yourself,’ she responds.

‘Are you worried that the police are looking for you? Are you concerned about the warrant for your arrest? Why did you do it? ‘ the reporter probes.

‘I’m actually 22, so I don’t know what the problem is here – and I’m also Puerto Rican. Take care of yourself!’ Miya responds.

Miya was seen in exclusive DailyMail.com photos making the quick trip to the fast foot restaurant in Fillmore, California – her first outing since being unmasked as the woman who accosted Keyon Jr.

Miya’s mother, Nicole Ponsetto, 43, also appeared to get into a spot of bother over the weekend after being stopped by the Ventura Country Sheriff on Sunday.

At least two patrol cars were on scene as she traveled through Fillmore close to her home in Piru, California a small farming town approximately 30 miles north of Los Angeles.

In exclusive DailyMail.com photos, Nicole was seen without wearing a face mask as a deputy approached her car before eventually putting one on.

After a short while, another officer appears on scene, however it is not clear why the Range Rover she and he daughter both drive was stopped just a few miles from their home.

In another series of pictures, Miya Ponsetto can be seen running to speak with her mother after her interaction with police. She had by then, pulled up in a nearby parking lot.

It was revealed this weekend that Miya had been arrested in February with her mother for drunkenly refusing to leave a hotel in Los Angeles – three months before she was arrested again for DUI.

Miya and her mother, Nicole, 43, were at The Peninsula hotel in Beverly Hills when staff ordered them to leave.

They refused, and police were called.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that when they arrived at the hotel and tried to get Ponsetto and her mother to depart, her mother allegedly pushed and kicked a cop.

Nicole was arrested on charges of battery on a police officer and being drunk in public, and Miya was arrested on a charge of being drunk in public. They have a court hearing later this month.

The woman dubbed SoHo Karen has been identified as 22-year-old Miya Ponsetto. Police reports and court records bearing her name show that she was arrested twice in the last year – once for public intoxication and another time for driving under the influence of alcohol

The L.A. County District Attorney charged both women on May 27, and the following day Miya was arrested again, for DUI.

She pleaded no contest and was sentenced to three years probation, 30 hours of community service and ordered to take a nine-month alcohol/drug counseling program.

Ponsetto seven months later allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old black boy, Keyon Harrold Jr, at a New York City hotel on December 26, in a row over a phone.

Keyon Jr’s father, Grammy-winning jazz artist Keyon Harrold, tweeted a video of the 22-year-old grabbing at the child while repeatedly accusing him of snatching her phone.

He captioned it: ‘On Saturday, December 26, the woman in this video falsely accused an innocent 14-year-old teenager of stealing her cellphone.

‘She then proceeded to physically attack him and fled the location before police officers arrived on scene.’

A second video released by the NYPD shows Ponsetto, who was swiftly dubbed SoHo Karen, running at the child and grabbing at his waist.

Moments after the video ended, an Uber driver arrived with Ponsetto’s phone, which she had left in the vehicle.

Harrold, along with Keyon’s mother Kat Rodriguez and civil rights attorney Ben Crump, are now urging officials to bring charges against her over the incident.

Ponsetto’s legal problems now look set to increase, with the NYPD considering bringing charges against her over the December 26 incident.

Officers confirmed on Tuesday that they are looking at a variety of options, including assault, grand larceny and attempted robbery.

New footage, released by NYPD, casts new light on Saturday’s events in the lobby of the Arlo Hotel in Manhattan.

It shows four people – the woman identified as Ponsetto, Keyon, Keyon Jr. and another individual – standing at the bottom of the stairs in the lobby.

Keyon Jr. starts to walk away in the direction of the hotel doors.

At this point, Ponsetto runs and grabs the 14-year-old around the waist, latching onto him as the boy’s father runs after them.

They pass through the automatic doors in the lobby as the boy tries to shake her off, turning around as she appears to tackle him to the ground.

A close-up of Ponsetto’s face is shown with ‘wanted’ emblazoned across it as the police urged anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the NYPD.

Harrold and Keyon Jr.’s mother, Kat Rodriguez, staged a rally in Manhattan on Wednesday alongside their attorney Ben Crump and Reverend Al Sharpton.

‘When I saw this story, I thought about how I was one of those kids whose father never took him anywhere for Christmas, never had brunch with my father,’ Sharpton said.

‘And for this black man to take his black son, put him in a hotel during a pandemic, and spend Christmas with him, raising him, and to be assaulted because of the color of their skin, I wanted to stand with this man and this woman who provided for their son, and they’re being criminalized for it.

‘The arrogance and audacity of this woman.’

Harrold added that had he not come down into the lobby with his son when he did, something ‘could have gone very wrong.’

‘The idea of trauma goes above any charge that we may have…I bring my son places where he shouldn’t have to deal with injustices and shouldn’t have to be profiled,’ he said.

An emotional Rodriguez also spoke during the rally, taking her opportunity to let it be known she is unhappy with the way the hotel handled the situation, and also called on ‘SoHo Karen’ to be charged with assault.

‘All that we are asking is for the police to do the right thing, for the DA to do the right thing, to charge this woman with assault of a minor,’ she said.

‘To the hotel, which I’m equally angry at, you are trained to use those tools. I called the hotel right after it happened, and I gave them a chance to make it right, and they didn’t.

‘You know when they made it right? When my tribe, my community spoke up.

‘It breaks my heart that this is happening to our son. This incident could have been avoided in so many ways,’ she said.

Crump, meanwhile, called the incident an example of ‘racial injustice’ – an all-too common narrative that ‘needs to change’.

‘Can you imagine what the narrative would have been if Keyon Harrold had not videoed the incident on his cellphone?’ Crump asked the crowd.

Keyon Harrold Sr. then played a trumpet rendition of ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘We Shall Overcome,’ drawing applause and a few tears, according to ABC7.

SoHo hotel racial profiling: Rev. Al Sharpton calls on NYPD to publicly identify and charge a woman who falsely accused a Black teen of stealing her phone.

Posted by PIX 11 on Wednesday, December 30, 2020

No decision has yet been made by either the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office or the NYPD as to whether the woman will be charged.

Keyon Sr first shared footage of the incident on Instagram, writing that he and his son had left their room to get breakfast when they came into contact with Ponsetto in the lobby.

He said she had been staying at the hotel but had checked out three days earlier.

It’s unclear what happened in the moments before he started filming, but in the video, Ponsetto can be heard screaming at Keyon Jr., telling him to show her his phone.

The minute-long video shows the woman and the hotel manager in the lobby with Harrold recording on his cell phone.

‘This is my phone,’ Harrold’s son, who is not seen in the footage, is heard telling Ponsetto and the manager.

‘You don’t have to explain nothing to her,’ Harrold tells his son.

Ponsetto then points to the phone and tells the manager that the case is the same one that she has.

‘That’s mine,’ she tells the manager. She then tells the manager: ‘Get it back.’

Harrold responds to Ponsetto, saying: ‘Are you kidding me? You feel like there’s only one iPhone made in the world?’

When Ponsetto asks Harrold to see the phone, he replies: ‘No, get a life.’

Harrold then tells the woman that she should use the Find My app, which helps locate missing Apple devices.

Ponsetto tells Harrold that the Find My app can only be accessed through the phone.

The video then shows the manager approach Harrold’s son asking him to see the phone.

‘No, you can’t,’ Harrold tells the manager.

‘I’m the manager of the hotel,’ the manager tells Harrold, who replies: ‘I don’t care!’

During the exchange, Ponsetto continues to encourage the manager to retrieve what she believes is her iPhone.

Harrold tries to plead his case, saying it wasn’t plausible that his son would have someone else’s phone since he just got to the lobby from the elevator.

‘Didn’t you see me just come downstairs out of the f***ing elevator?’ Harrold tells the manager.

The manager protests, saying: ‘I’m trying to help.’

Harrold replies: ‘My son has nothing to do with her.’

Ponsetto once again repeats her demand to see the phone, saying: ‘No, he’s not leaving. Show me the proof.’

Harrold refuses and begins to walk away from the lobby toward what appear to be the elevators.

‘You better get on,’ Harrold tells Ponsetto.

Ponsetto, who appears to be highly distressed, walks toward Harrold and his son, saying: ‘No, I’m not letting him walk away with my phone.’

While the video is not clear, she appears to lunge toward Harrold and his son.

In the next frame, she is seen on the ground as the manager helps her back to her feet.

‘No, please get my phone back,’ Ponsetto begs the manager.

The video clip ends with Ponsetto once again approaching Harrold in an attempt to get the phone.

The trumpeter said he suffered slight injuries in the incident though his son was not harmed.

Keyon Jr. spoke alongside his father to ABC on Tuesday, telling the network he’s still ‘shell shocked’ over what happened.

‘I don’t know what would have happened if my dad wasn’t there. These past few days, still kind of shell-shocked, but I’m hanging in there.

‘For me I was confused because I had never seen that lady ever and I didn’t know what to do in the moment. That’s why I was happy to have my dad here to help me,’ he said.

Earlier this week, Bill de Blasio, mayor of New York City, on Twitter called the incident ‘racism. Plain and simple.’

‘It would be horrific at any age, but it’s especially offensive that it happened to a child,’ he wrote.

‘To Keyon Harrold Jr. and his family: I am so sorry this happened to you.’

Amid the fallout, Arlo Hotels has also apologized for its role in the incident, saying its workers could have done better to ‘de-escalate the dispute.’

‘We’re deeply disheartened about the recent incident of baseless accusation, prejudice and assault against an innocent guest of Arlo hotel,’ a company statement said.

‘In investigating the incident further, we’ve learned that the manager on duty promptly called the police regarding the woman’s conduct and that hotel security intervened to prevent further violence …. No Arlo guest – or any person – should be subject to this kind of behavior.’

Famed civil rights attorney Ben Crump is leading the charge of outrage against the woman’s actions, and also called out the hotel for ’empowering’ her accusations by asking Harrold’s son to prove his innocence.

‘As this year of racial awareness is drawing to a close, it’s deeply troubling that incidents like this one, in which a Black child is viewed as and treated like a criminal, continue to happen,’ Crump said in a statement.

‘We strongly urge Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. to bring assault and battery charges against this woman to send the message that hateful, racially motivated behavior is unacceptable,’ Crump added.

‘This is what it will take to drive change. We also call for a civil rights investigation into the Arlo Hotel for its implicit bias in its treatment of Keyon.’

British expats flying home to Spain are stopped from boarding BA flight from Heathrow to Madrid

British expats flying home to Spain are stopped from boarding BA flight from Heathrow to Madrid after airline staff claimed their ID documents are no longer valid

  • Nine passengers were not allowed to board on the flight to Madrid on Saturday
  • British journalist and photographer Max Duncan reported the incident on Twitter
  • The Embassy replied to his tweet saying ‘This should not be happening’

A group of British expats living in Spain were stopped from boarding a flight to Madrid after airline staff informed them their residency papers were no longer valid following Brexit.

Nine passengers were prevented from boarding the Iberia/BA flight from London Heathrow to Madrid on Saturday night, when airline staff told them their pre-Brexit ID documents had become invalid.

The incident took place on January 2, even though both the Spanish and British governments have agreed the Foreign National Identification (NIE) document and the new Foreign ID Card (TIE) remain valid.

Nine British passengers were barred from boarding on a Iberia/ BA flight to Madrid on Saturday night

Among them was Madrid-based  British journalist and photographer Max Duncan, who reported the incident on Twitter, after he was told that his Spanish Foreign National Identification (NIE) card and a Foreign ID card (TIE) were no longer valid following Brexit on January 1.

The Embassy replied to Duncan’s tweet saying: ‘This should not be happening, the Spanish authorities have reconfirmed again this evening that the green residency document will be valid for travel to return to Spain as stated in our travel advice.’

Mr Duncan also recorded a video interview with a distressed couple that wasn’t allowed on the flight.

A couple said they 'were gutted' after airline staff told them they weren't allowed on the flight

The woman said:’ We arrived here at the airport today and we were told we are not allowed to fly because we have the wrong residency card.

‘We were told we have to have the TIE card. We are absolutely gutted.

‘We are going home, Spain is home.

‘My husband is in urgent need of medical care.

Another couple was told at the check-in desk the green NIE card was no longer valid.

The man said when they contacted the embassy they were told by staff that they had received a lot of calls about the confusion.

On a Facebook post the British Embassy in Madrid said it has received similar complaints due to post-Brexit confusion and said it has requested ‘greater flexibility’ from the Spanish Government  and have highlighted the recent cases to the Spanish authorities.

The Spanish government announced last year that  British expats in Spain would be given a new ID card instead of the residency paper.

According to the Spanish authorities British nationals who were residing in Spain before 31 st December 2020 have obtained the rights set out in the Withdrawal Agreement and can use either the green residency document or the new residence document (TIE).

The Spanish authorities have confirmed British nationals were allowed to travel with the green residency document or the new residence document (TIE)

Travel advice suggests that UK nationals can exchange their paper residence document for the new TIE but you they are not obliged to.

Spain have announced Covid-19 restrictions for those travelling from the UK until January 19 with the exception of Spanish nationals and those legally resident in Spain.

Currently there are more than 300.000 British residents in Spain.

According to Spain’s Secretary of State for Migration the number of UK citizens with Spanish residence permits increased by 5.8 percent from June 2019 to June 2020, a rise of 19,977 British residents.

Sidney Powell says Trump’s closest aides have STOPPED her from contacting him

Sidney Powell says she has been stopped from contacting Donald Trump after attending a contentious White House meeting where the President’s loyalists discussed possible ways to overturn the election.

The conspiracy theorist attorney made the claim in an interview with Zenger News on Thursdays, stating: ‘I’ve been blocked from speaking to or communicating with the president since I left the Oval Office… by apparently everyone around him.’

Powell was present at the meeting on Friday, December 18, alongside retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, White House counsel Pat Cipollone, and chief of staff Mark Meadows. Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, dialed in over the phone and senior members of the Trump administration floated in and out of the room.

During the discussions, which lasted for more than two hours, Trump allegedly floated the idea of making Powell special White House counsel – an idea that received strong pushback from others in attendance.

Powell told Zenger News that she was ‘verbally offered the job, but that senior officials from the Office of White House Counsel have prevented her from presenting the president with paperwork to make it official.’

‘It has not come to pass, because it seems it was blocked after Friday night, or undone, or I’m not sure what you’d call it’ she stated.

Trump purportedly proposed giving Powell a role as a White House special counsel

Sidney Powell says she has been barred from contacting Donald Trump after attending a contentious White House meeting where the President’s loyalists discussed possible ways to overturn the election

The attorney implied that Cipollone and Meadows may have been behind the move.

She says that by Saturday, she was declined a Secret Service-issued pass that would allow her access to the West Wing.

Many of Trump’s allies have been trying to distance themselves from Powell after she pushed her outlandish claim of an international conspiracy at work with the deep state to remove Trump from the White House.

According to The New York Times, all of the ideas Powell presented during the meeting were ‘shot down by every other Trump adviser present, all of whom repeatedly pointed out that she had yet to back up her claims with proof’.

‘It’s basically Sidney versus everybody,’ one source in Friday’s meeting told Axios.’

‘That is why voices were raised. There is literally not one motherf****r in the president’s entire orbit — his staunchest group of supporters and allies — who doesn’t think that Sidney Powell should be on that first rocket to Mars.’

Powell has been the lead instigator in floating a conspiracy theory that voting machines in states Trump lost flipped votes from the president to Joe Biden. There has been no proof of massive voter fraud and Trump’s own administration said the election was safe and secure.

Her efforts so far have been a comedy of errors.

Shortly after midnight on the eve of Thanksgiving she published a 104-page document detailing allegations about Georgia and a 75-page document looking at Michigan, calling for the election results to be decertified, Trump to be declared the winner and voting machines to be impounded.

In the documents she alleged the election had been ‘rigged’ to favor Biden and that foreign powers were involved.

She tweeted: ‘The #Kraken was just released on #Georgia’, along with a link to her website.

She added: ‘Exhibits to follow. Also #ReleaseTheKraken in #Michigan’.

Giuliani said this weekend that the Trump legal team is changing its strategy to focus more on voting machines.

The president’s ‘elite strike force team’ – as they call themselves – have not won any major court victories. Judges appointed by the president and the United States Supreme Court have denied the team’s efforts to throw doubt on the election results. Recounts in Georgia and Wisconsin have confirmed Biden’s victory in those states.

Powell accused Dominion Voting Systems of having ties to Venezuela and China. She blamed their machines for Trump’s loss. She was dismissed from Trump’s legal team last month as the campaign tried to distance itself from those claims.

Dominion sent her a letter demanding she retract her claims and has threatened her with legal action.

John Poulos, the CEO of Dominion, voluntarily testified under oath before the Michigan Senate last week where he denied Powell’s claims.

‘Dominion is not and has never been a front for communists,’ he said. ‘It has no ties to Hugo Chavez, the late dictator of Venezuela. We have never been involved in Venezuelan elections. Its machines have never been used in Venezuela.’

Biden won the Electoral College 302 to Trump’s 232. He also beat the president in the popular vote, winning more than 81.2 million votes to Trump’s 74 million.

Meanwhile, Powell’s social media accounts have been flooded with QAnon conspiracy theories and she had been on the President’s radar since representing his disgraced former national security adviser Mike Flynn.

Now Powell, a 65-year-old mother of one who practices law in Dallas but is from Raleigh, North Carolina, appears to be trying to monetize her infamy.

The website for the Legal Defense Fund appears to have been set up on November 11, a day after she appeared on the Lou Dobbs show on Fox.

Originally it stated that ‘$500,000 must be raised in the next 24 hours’ but it was updated to ask for ‘millions’ in donations to stop the certification of ballots.

The driver of a heavy truck stopped after a 20 kilometer chase

The driver of a cube truck was arrested by the police on Sunday morning at around 2:30 a.m. after a nearly 20-kilometer chase on Highway 10 in Montérégie.

The 39-year-old driver was noticed around 2 a.m. for his erratic driving at kilometer 37 of highway 10, near the Ange-Gardien, said the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) , Louis-Philippe Bibeau.

When the police arrived at the scene, the driver of the truck backed up and hit the patrol car before fleeing, the SQ spokesman added.

The police then followed the driver aboard a Ministry of Transport (MTQ) van before their colleagues took over the pursuit.

After several minutes of pursuit on Highway 10 and then on Route 235, the police were able to intercept the vehicle on Saint-Pierre West Street in Saint-Hyacinthe at around 2:30 a.m.

The driver then lost control of his vehicle after installing a spiked mat on the road and ended his run in a ditch, Constable Bibeau said.

A reconstitutionist is present on site to assess the circumstances of the event.

“The cube truck had been reported stolen in the last hours from the Longueuil agglomeration police department,” said the SQ spokesperson.

The suspect, who has minor injuries, will be questioned by investigators from the SQ’s major crimes department.

Return of Which Products Costco Stopped Accepting During the Pandemic and Why | The State

When making panic purchases, customers could run out of essential items.

Photo:
Paul Kane / Getty Images

In March, signs began to appear at some Costco locations stating that the store would no longer accept returns of essential items. that many people started buying in bulk to stock up during the coronavirus pandemic.

The signs, posted by various Instagram accounts, indicated that stores did not accept returns of products such as toilet paper, paper towels, rice, water, disinfectant wipes and Lysol, as reported on the Delish portal.

To date, it is unclear whether the new policy was implemented store-by-store or nationwide.

Apparently, This measure was implemented to discourage people from panic shopping and carrying more product than they really need. That is, they must be very sure that they will use all the product they buy, since later they will not be able to return it to the store.

On the other hand, Costco announced purchase limits earlier this week on certain items that have been running out as customers stock up.

The company has not released a statement on these purchase restrictions, so it is recommended check with your local Costco for more information on changes to their return policies.

Costco is just one of many grocery stores and department stores implementing new temporary policies to accommodate the high volumes of shoppers who are visiting their locations for panic purchases during the coronavirus outbreak, including reducing store hours. and the imposition of purchase limits on certain items.

Ananya Panday says she has stopped going to the gym: ‘I don’t have gym looks’

Ananya Panday seems to be feeling the pressure of looking great even while she sweats. In an appearance on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chat show What Women Want, she revealed that she no longer goes to the gym because she has run out of ‘gym looks’.

On being asked by Kareena about her gym and airport looks, Ananya said, “I have stopped going to the gym because I don’t have gym looks to give. I am like, ‘How do I wear something new every single day?’ The gym and airport are two places where you have to be comfortable. How will I sit in such a long flight in these trench coats and all? I can’t do it. My airport looks are sneakers, jeans and an oversized sweatshirt. I don’t give it that much importance at all.”

During the conversation, Ananya also opened up about being trolled for what she wears. She said that she chooses to dress in a way that makes her happy and does not care about inviting criticism.

I have made it to Diet Sabya and I have been questioned on what I am wearing but that is something that I don’t actually obsess over or anything. As long as I am happy and I get good pictures to put on my Instagram, I am fine,” she said.

Saudi Arabia says it will develop nuclear weapons if Iran cannot be stopped from making one

Saudi Arabia could develop nuclear weapons if Iran becomes a nuclear power, the country’s foreign minister has warned.

Adel al-Jubeir said it is ‘definitely an option’ for the Middle-Eastern state to develop nuclear capabilities if its rival Iran could not be stopped from making one, according to reports.

He reportedly told DPA news agency that other countries would also likely do the same.

According to Al Jazeera, the foreign minister said: ‘Saudi Arabia has made it very clear, that it will do everything it can to protect its people and to protect its territories.’

The comments come amid reports outgoing US President Donald Trump considered launching a strike against Iran’s main nuclear facility last week.

Iran vows a ‘crushing response’ to any US attack after Trump ‘talked out of’ airstrike

Iran warned today it would retaliate with ‘crushing’ force against the US if Donald Trump ordered a strike against the country’s nuclear facilities, after reports that he was considering it in the final weeks of his presidency.

Ali Rabiei, an Iranian government spokesman, warned that ‘any action against the Iranian nation would certainly face a crushing response’ after US officials told the New York Times that Trump had asked about ways to punish Iran for its nuclear build-up.

The Pentagon’s strike plans against Iran are thought to include missile attacks, cyber-warfare, and pre-emptive action by Israel, which has previously carried out a series of operations against Iran.

While Trump’s advisers talked him out of a military strike, he might still look at other ways to hit Iran, officials said – weeks before he is due to hand power to Joe Biden who wants to re-enter the 2015 nuclear pact that Trump abandoned two years ago.

Trump’s Oval Office meeting came a day after inspectors said Iran had increased its stockpile of nuclear material and given unconvincing explanations for uranium particles that were found at another site.

Trump asked his top national security aides including vice president Mike Pence, secretary of state Mike Pompeo, acting defense secretary Christopher C. Miller and joint chiefs chairman Mark Milley about the potential strike, sources said.

Miller is holding the top Pentagon job after Trump fired previous defense secretary Mark Esper last Monday.

Trump’s advisers ultimately dissuaded him from launching a strike by warning that such action could trigger a wider conflict with Iran, the officials said.

A source confirmed the account of the meeting to Reuters, saying: ‘He asked for options. They gave him the scenarios and he ultimately decided not to go forward.’

Any missile strike or cyber-attack would likely have targeted Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facility, Natanz, which Tehran insists is meant for peaceful purposes.

Most of the complex is underground and it is subject to monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the nuclear accord.

In its latest report, the IAEA said Iran’s uranium stockpile is now 12 times larger than the limit set under the Obama-era pact which Trump abandoned in 2018.

The agency said that as of November 2 Iran had a stockpile of around 2,440kg of low-enriched uranium, up from 2,100kg on August 25.

The limit under the deal signed with Britain, France, Germany, China and Russia is just over 200kg.

However, senior advisers talked him out of the dramatic action, according to two new reports.

Trump asked top national security aides including Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Acting Defense Secretary Christopher C Miller and Chairman of Joint Chiefs Mark Milley about the potential strike at a meeting in the Oval Office last Thursday, the New York Times reported Monday, citing four current and former US officials.

The meeting took place a day after international inspectors informed United Nations members that Iran had significantly increased its stockpile of nuclear material.

Trump’s advisers ultimately dissuaded him from launching a strike by warning that such action could trigger a wider conflict with Iran, the Times sources said, weeks before Trump is due to hand over power to Joe Biden.

They said any strike, either by missile or cyber, would likely have targeted Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facility, Natanz.

A separate source confirmed Times’ account of the meeting to Reuters, saying: ‘[Trump] asked for options. They gave him the scenarios and he ultimately decided not to go forward.’

The International Atomic Energy Agency, a watchdog for the UN, reported in a confidential document last Wednesday that Iran’s uranium stockpile is now 12 times larger than the limit set under the nuclear accord Trump pulled out of in 2018.

The agency said that as of November 2 Iran had a stockpile of 2,442.9 kilograms (5,385.7 pounds) of low-enriched uranium, up from 2,105.4 kilograms (4,641.6 pounds) reported on August 25.

The nuclear deal signed in 2015 with the US, Germany, France, Britain, China and Russia, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), allows Iran only to keep a stockpile of 202.8 kilograms (447 pounds).

The IAEA reported that Iran has also been continuing to enrich uranium to a purity of up to 4.5 percent, higher than the 3.67 percent allowed under the deal.

Natanz, also called the Pilot Fuel Enrichment Plant, is located about 200 miles south of Tehran. Most of the complex is underground and it is subject to monitoring by IAEA under the nuclear accord.

In its latest report the IAEA also said that Iran had barred its inspectors from accessing another site where there was evidence of past nuclear activity.

The officials who spoke to the Times said Trump reacted to the IAEA report by asking his aides about what options he had to respond to Iran’s nuclear expansion.

They said Pompeo and Milley outlined the risks of military escalation, and that officials left the meeting with the impression that Trump had been dissuaded from launching a missile attack.

But, they said Trump may still be looking into ways to strike Iranian assets and allies, including militias in Iraq, the Times reported.

The US accuses Iran of backing terrorists in Gaza, Syria and Iraq, including a group who attacked the US embassy in Baghdad last December.

Days later, Trump ordered the drone strike that killed Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, sparking several alarming days of high tensions and a barrage of Iranian missile strikes on US bases in Iraq.

President Donald Trump asked senior national security advisers about launching a strike against Iran's main nuclear site at a meeting last week, the New York Times reported Monday

President Donald Trump asked senior national security advisers about launching a strike against Iran’s main nuclear site at a meeting last week, the New York Times reported Monday

Donald Trump reportedly asked advisers for a list of options on how to take action against Iran, which could include a missile strike, a cyber-attack or an operation involving Israel. But Iran warned today that any US action would be met with a ‘crushing’ response. Tehran previously fired missiles at US bases in Iraq in retaliation for the killing of general Qassem Soleimani in January, and Iran is also suspected of being behind cyber-attacks and mysterious explosions on Persian Gulf shipping

Trump’s policy of ‘maximum pressure’ has also seen the US military carry out cyber-attacks against Iran, which in turn has been linked to cyber-attacks on power stations and utilities in Israel during 2020.

The US was also behind an Israeli operation in Iran which killed al-Qaeda’s deputy leader Abdullah Ahmad Abdullah, according to a separate NYT report last week.

Abdullah, who went by the nom-de-guerre Abu Muhammad al-Masri. was secretly shot and killed in Tehran by Israeli operatives on a motorcycle at Washington’s behest, it is claimed.

The operation is said to have taken place on August 7 on the anniversary of the 1998 US embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya, which were carried out by al-Qaeda.

Iran denied the report of Abdullah’s killing, claiming on Saturday that it was ‘made-up information’ and blaming US policies for the emergence of al-Qaeda.

But Washington has previously accused Iran of harboring members of the terror group behind 9/11 and allowing them to pass through its territory.

US president-elect Joe Biden has said he intends to revive the Iran nuclear accord when he takes office on January 20, but that plan could be thrown into jeopardy if tensions between the US and Iran escalate in Trump’s final weeks in the White House.

Kell Brook stopped in fourth round by world champion Terence Crawford

Kell Brook lasted just 10 minutes against Terence Crawford as he was stopped in the fourth round by the welterweight world champion.

The Brit was bidding to pull off one of the greatest upsets by a British fighter in Las Vegas.

But although he started well, Brook wilted as soon as he came under pressure in the fourth round before Crawford stepped in to likely end the former champion’s career.

“I was trying to gauge the distance, he had good distance and I was trying to find my rhythm,” said Crawford.

“That’s why it was so competitive at first, I couldn’t get my shots off.

“Kell’s a tremendous talent, he came and tried to take my title, he was in shape and made the weight so there were no excuses.

“He had his confidence up bit he lost to the better man.”

Brook had boiled down to welterweight for the first time since his defeat by Errol Spence almost four years ago.

The Sheffield star had not looked the same fighter since his back-to-back losses to Spence and Gennady Golovkin.

His three victories at 154lb had often been lacklustre against mediocre opposition.

And he was stepping up to face Crawford without long-time trainer Dominic Ingle and having negotiated the fight himself, leading to accusations he was cashing in with a £1.5million pay day.

Three-weight world champion Crawford, meanwhile, was widely hailed as the pound-for-pound No.1 but lacked a marque name on his record.

He had been in talks to fight Manny Pacquiao in the Middle East before the coronavirus crisis struck.

Instead he welcomed Brook to Sin City but it was the Brit who edged the opening round courtesy of his ram-rod jab.

And he continued to pose questions in the second session as Crawford switched to southpaw in a bid to combat Brook’s lead hand.

And the champion improved through the third round as he began to find a home for his own jab.

That shot sent Brook staggering back into the ropes and as Crawford followed up, the referee ruled the ropes had held up the visitor and began the count.

Although Brook was able to continue, a left-hand onslaught from the champion forced the referee to step in.

The beaten man said: “I obviously got caught with a  shot I didn’t see and the referee waved it off.

“I always said if I’m in a fight I want to go out on my shield but the referee thought I couldn’t continue.

“I’m gutted, nobody could have got me in a better condition, I felt great. Maybe I could have been more relaxed but the fight has gone the way it has.”
