New Delhi, January 24

Parts of north and central India will experience a fresh spell of chill during the next three-four days with ‘cold to severe cold wave’ conditions likely over the plains, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.

Under its influence, the current spell of dense to very dense fog in some pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan is likely to persist over these areas till January 26 and decrease thereafter.

“Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over north Rajasthan and cold wave conditions in isolated pockets over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh during January 25-27 and over west Uttar Pradesh and west Madhya Pradesh during January 26-27,” the IMD said.

Cold day to severe cold day conditions are also very likely in some pockets over Uttar Pradesh during the next three days (till January 26) and cold day conditions in isolated pockets over Punjab and Haryana and Chandigarh during the next 2 days. — PTI

Danny Dyer sparks fresh feud with Olly Murs as he dubs his music ‘really s***’

Danny Dyer first took a pop at singer Olly Murs’ talents six years ago – and he’s at it again.

The EastEnders star, 43, took a swipe at the 36-year-old Troublemaker hitmaker on his and daughter Dani Dyer’s recent episode of Sorted With The Dyers podcast.

Actor Danny appeared to reignite his feud with Essex boy Olly when he quizzed his pregnant daughter on her birthing plans and asked if she’d a compiled music playlist.

Danny then went on to dub Olly’s music as “really s**t”.

He asked her: “Have you got a playlist? How about if you listened to some really s**t music and then that might help?

Danny Dyer has labelled Olly Murs’ music as ‘really s***’

“Say you kick off with Olly Murs?”

Former Love Island personality Dani, who is soon due to welcome her first baby with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, responded: “Oh no, I don’t want anything like that.”

In March 2015, Danny made it clear that he was not a fan of X Factor star Olly when he stopped host Greg James from playing one of his tracks during an interview.

He exclaimed: “Do you have to play Olly Murs? Can you not play something else? Just pull a tune out?”

Back in 2015, Danny slammed Olly’s music

It comes after first-time mum-to-be Dani admitted that she’s feeling scared when thinking of giving birth.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Dani got candid with her followers ahead of her due date.

“Honestly, I’m so scared now to give birth,” she said.

“Knowing that in a month’s time there’s going to be a baby here, hopefully, if I’m not overdue and stuff, I’m just really scared and want tips now.”

Dani admitted she was laid back when it came to thinking of giving birth, but as the big day gets nearer and nearer, she’s having a harder time being as relaxed.

“I’ve been that person that was like, ‘Yeah I’m fine and whatever…giving birth is easy!’ and now I’m sitting here like oh my God,” she said.

“Any tips would be great!”

Dani stunned fans with her pregnancy announcement back in July when she took to Instagram to reveal that she and Sammy would welcome their first child in January 2021.

Chelsea’s reasons for rejecting Tuchel come to light amid fresh links with Blues

Chelsea were reportedly warned against appointing Thomas Tuchel as manager a number of seasons ago as they weighed up replacing Antonio Conte.

Tuchel was tipped to take the Stamford Bridge hot seat in 2017 after his sacking as Borussia Dortmund boss.

Blues chiefs were concerned then-manager Conte would leave his role at the end of the 2016/17 season despite him leading the club to the Premier League title.

And managers including Tuchel and Massimiliano Allegri quickly staked their claims to take over in west London.

But Chelsea were fired a warning that Tuchel might prove just as troublesome as Conte or former boss Jose Mourinho, according to the Daily Telegraph .

Tuchel is once again linked with the Chelsea job

The revelation comes as Tuchel is once again linked with the Chelsea job, with the club’s hierarchy exploring the possibility of replacing Frank Lampard.

The Blues are on a dismal run of four defeats in their last six Premier League games, with Tuchel, Allegri and Brendan Rodgers among the host of managers mooted to replace Lampard.

Tuchel was sacked by Paris Saint-Germain on Christmas Eve and is alleged to have fallen out with numerous players and members of staff at both Dortmund and the Ligue 1 club.

Tuchel was tipped to replace Conte, who had a poor relationship with the Chelsea board

Taking note of the warning they received, Chelsea stuck by Conte for the 2017/18 season and he brought the club FA Cup glory.

But the Italian endured a fractious relationship with club chiefs and was dismissed at the end of the campaign, with Maurizio Sarri brought in to replace him.

Sarri’s lone season as Chelsea boss did little to remedy the relationship between manager and board, but his successor – club legend Frank Lampard – has helped repair the schism.

Nonetheless, Chelsea face a decision over how much time to give Lampard to turn his side’s form around before replacing him.

Whether they will pass over Tuchel – who had a formidable 74.8 per cent win rate at PSG – to maintain harmony between manager and board remains to be seen.

Jose Mourinho aims fresh swipe at Man Utd’s Bruno Fernandes

Jose Mourinho couldn’t resist taking another swipe at Manchester United and Bruno Fernandes’ penalty record for the club.

The Tottenham manager was speaking after striker Heung Min-Son brought up a century of goals during their 3-0 win over Leeds.

When asked about the South Korean’s achievement, Mourinho appeared to make a subtle reference to Fernandes – and the amount of penalties he’s scored since his transfer last January.

“I think we all have to explain to people the person he is, too,” he said.

Jose Mourinho appeared to make reference to Bruno Fernandes after Son scored his 100th goal for Spurs

“To get the Puskas award, to be scoring 100 goals for Tottenham and to be maybe in the top three Premier League scorers without penalties.

“Some players score 10 goals a season on penalties and I’m not speaking about Harry Kane, by the way.

“I’m so happy for Son.”

Fernandes has netted 15 spot kicks since his move at the start of last year, including seven in all competitions this season.

And it isn’t the first time the ex-United boss has taken aim at his compatriot’s ability from 12 yards.

Bruno Fernandes scored yet another penalty in Man Utd’s win over Aston Villa

Speaking ahead of the new season, on Fernandes, he said: “Bruno came in, was fit, played very well, improved the United team and also proved to be a great penalty taker, one of the best in the world, because he had about 20 to score.”

Mourinho then continued the point in September after he complained to officials about the size of the goalposts in their Europa League clash with FK Shkendija.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer went on to make a joke about the incident and the Spurs boss quickly hit back.

“I understand that for him the dimensions of the goalposts are not important for him,” he said.

Can Man Utd win the Premier League title this season? Have your say here.

It’s not the first time he’s pointed at Man Utd’s penalty record

“What is important for him are the dimensions of the 18-yard box.

“He would never accept to play with a 17-yard box. I think he would prefer a 22-yard box. For him it would be better.”

The Portuguese star was cool from the spot again on Friday, as United moved level with Liverpool at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

On the midfielder’s penalty record, Solskjaer said: “He wants to take the penalties and that’s the first thing. He is never afraid of missing. He has been very safe and is a confident man on the spot.”

Mikel Arteta comments give us fresh clue about Mesut Ozil amid U-turn suggestion

Mikel Arteta’s recent comments offer some insight into his plans for Mesut Ozil now that the January transfer window is upon us.

The World Cup winner was frozen out at Arsenal at the start of the season, with Arteta opting against naming him in his Premier League and Europa League squads.

It was hoped that Ozil would leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window as a result of the brutal snub, and free up his £350,000-a-week wages.

But the German plans to remain in north London until his contract expires at the end of the season, which has put the cash-strapped Gunners in a difficult position.

Ozil’s insistence to remain at the Emirates, despite being able to play, means Arsenal are without a creative mind in the middle of the park.

The January window has now opened, but Ozil still has no plans to leave.

Arteta, therefore, has a decision to make. Either continue leaving Ozil out in the cold, despite Arsenal’s obvious problems, or make a U-turn on his original decision.

The Spaniard has recently been talking about Ozil’s situation, and refused to rule out naming the German in his Premier League squad for the second half of the season.

“We will see what happens in the transfer window and we will assess at the end of that,” said the Arsenal boss. “You have to respect the players’ contracts. You can just try to be open with them, tell them your intentions, the role that they have in the team and why that is.

Arsenal boss Arteta has a decision to make this month

“Some would like to move because they are not playing and some would like to stay. That’s something we cannot decide by ourselves. When a player doesn’t play, it is really difficult to be happy.

“There are players that don’t play at all, they know they are not going to have any chance. That is tough mentally for them, to maintain that motivation and positivity around the place for a lot of months. That’s a big task.”

Arteta also played down Arsenal making a big signing in January, bolstering Ozil’s chances of a shock return.

“Every [new] player is going to need time to adapt,” added Arteta.

Ozil is refusing to leave Arsenal this January

“It’s which qualities this player is bringing, what is the past of that player, where has he been, has he been in a different country, does he speak the language, is he familiar with a certain style of playing?

“There are a lot of conditions that, in my opinion. affect whether that player can have an immediate impact or not in a team. For me, there are really key things to consider before making any steps to bring anyone in in January.”

‘Fresh Prince’ Alum Janet Hubert Rips ‘Privileged’ Lori Loughlin’s Short Prison Sentence

Janet Hubert called out white actresses who ‘commit crimes’ — including Lori Loughlin — amid criticism of the ‘Full House’ star’s prison sentence length for her role in the college admissions scandal.

Janet Hubert, who played the original Aunt Viv on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, shared her thoughts on white actresses who “commit crimes” yet go on to live successful lives. This critique was inspired by Lori Loughlin, 56, who was released from prison after a two-month sentence for her involvement in the U.S. college admissions scandal on Dec. 28. Lori had reported to the FCI Dublin in California on Oct. 30, meaning she actually served just two days shy of two full months.

“So when white actresses commit crimes they get new shows, pilots, etc. Lori Loughlin …I assume, will get an Emmy for her time in prison,” Janet tweeted a day after Lori became a free woman. She added, “Hmmmm…oh to be white, blond, and privileged! No thanks I would rather be bold, black, and dignified! #onlyinamerikkka” To top off the tweet, Janet used an old GIF of herself as Aunt Viv.

Janet wasn’t the only person upset to see the consequences Lori has faced in the justice system, which many fans believed was too lenient compared to what other incarcerated people have faced. “Lori Loughlin. Pleads guilty to federal crimes. Less than 2 months in prison. Kalief Browder. Falsely accused of stealing a backpack. Couldn’t post bail. Spent 3 yrs at Riker’s awaiting trial. Dies by suicide after release. Justice looks different when you’re poor and Black,” Kristen Clarke, president of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, tweeted on Dec. 28.

Many more Twitter users made comparisons between Lori and Black people who served much longer sentences, recalling the cases of Derek Harris, Tanya McDowell and more. Another celebrity who pleaded guilty in the college admissions scandal was Felicity Huffman, who spent 11 days in prison and returned home in time to spend Thanksgiving with her family in 2019 (she was given a 14-day sentence).

Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, 57, had paid $500,000 in bribes so that their daughters Olivia Jade, 21, and Isabella Rose, 22, could be admitted into USC as crew recruits. Like her mom, Olivia was also called out for her white privilege by the hosts of The View after the YouTube star broke her silence on her parents’ scandal on the Dec. 8 episode of Red Table Talk. During the interview, Red Table Talk co-host Adrienne Banfield-Norris made a similar point as Janet, saying that Olivia being on the talk show is “the epitome of white privilege.” Olivia admitted that it was “embarrassing” she had not fully realized her “insane privilege” before.

Lori’s husband is still serving time in prison, and isn’t expected to be released until April 17, 2021. Lori, who pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, still has to complete 100 community service hours and is currently on two years of supervised release. The actress has also paid a $150,000 fine.
