Man Utd transfer round-up as Red Devils prepare Kalidou Koulibaly bid

[ad_1]

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a man on a mission. The Norwegian is determined to bring success back to Manchester United and to help him in that pursuit he has signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax this summer.

United fans are desperate to see Jadon Sancho clad in a red shirt, but so far the club have been unable to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund.

That won’t stop the Red Devils from trying to do further deals, though, and with that in mind here are the club’s latest transfer rumours

Kalidou Koulibaly could finally leave Napoli in the coming weeks

Man Utd prepare bid for City defensive target

Manchester United are preparing a fresh bid to sign Kalidou Koulibaly, according to Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The Napoli defender has been heavily linked with a departure from the club this summer and is believed to be a target for Manchester City.

But Romano claims the two clubs are not currently speaking because of the strained relationship between them following negotiations for Jorginho.

That has opened an opportunity for Man Utd to steal in and secure the defender, nicknamed ‘K2’.

Solskjaer has been exploring defensive options this summer as he attempts to build a side capable of challenging for a Premier League title.

Sergio Reguilon remains on Man Utd’s radar

Man United prioritise attack over Real Madrid defender

Manchester United remain interested in Sergio Reguilon but are prioritising attacking players this window, according to ESPN.

The report states United were made aware of Regulion’s availability through intermediaries. He spent last season on loan at Sevilla and celebrated that campaign with a victory in the Europa League final.

United have been heavily linked with Reguilon this summer as Solskjaer looks to add defensive depth to his squad and a player to challenge Luke Shaw at left-back.

The report states, however, that the Red Devils will prioritise attackers over defenders while continuing to monitor the situation with Reguilon.

The same report also states that James Garner is in talks with Huddersfield Town about a loan move.

Dortmund winger handed Man Utd trial

Reda Khadra has been handed an opportunity to impress Manchester United on trial.

Khadra, 19, only recently left Dortmund after his contract expired and is now hoping to earn a move to Old Trafford.

Unfortunately he failed to get international clearance in time to feature for the club’s Under-23s against Doncaster Rovers.

The teenager plays the same position as much-admired United target Jadon Sancho, and he participated in 69 youth team matches for Dortmund in total, scoring twice and producing 11 assists.
