Apart from this, four MLAs of the ruling National People’s Party (NPP) have left the cabinet. Also, a TMC MLA and an Independent MLA have withdrawn their support from the government.
It is being told that S.K. Subhash Chandra Singh, T.T. Haokip and Samuel Jendai joined the Congress. At the same time, Deputy CM Y Jayakumar Singh, Minister N Kayisi, Minister L Jayant Kumar Singh and Letpao Haokip have resigned from the post of NPP. Trinamool Congress’s T Robindro Singh and Independent MLA Shahabuddin have also withdrawn support from the BJP.
