Sachin Tendulkar batted after 5 years at a charity match in Australia. Internet is super emotional.
Sachin Tendulkar left his fans emotional as he walked out to bat after five and a half years at a charity match in Australia. Known as the God of cricket, Tendulkar played an over from Australian woman cricketer Ellyse Perry at the match organised to help bushfire victims. He played with an injured shoulder against his doctor’s advice.
The official Twitter handle of International Cricket Council (ICC) also shared a video of the remarkable moment. In the video, Tendulkar faces a ball from Perry and hits a boundary. ICC shared the video with the caption, “Ellyse Perry bowls Sachin Tendulkar bats. This is what dreams are made of.”
Internet agreed with the caption and cried happy tears. Soon after the videos and photos of the cricket legend started doing rounds on the internet, emotional-yet-delighted fans flooded Twitter with heartwarming posts. While many expressed that seeing Tendulkar bat brought back their childhood memories, others expressed it made them super emotional.
“I’m not crying, you are,” a user wrote. “Oh it’s like a regular Sunday from 2000s for me ! Anything else can wait when god Sachin Tendulkar is on crease,” wrote another user.
