Sushant Singh Rajput Case

Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook Neeraj Singh, in an exclusive interview to India Today TV, revealed that the actor’s sister Meetu Singh asked them to bring her brother’s body down on June 14. Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home on June 14. It was Neeraj, Sushant’s friend and art designer Siddharth Pithani and Samuel who saw his body hanging in his bedroom.

Sushant was residing at his Bandra home with two cooks – Neeraj Singh and Keshav Bachner. Deepesh Sawant did the housekeeping and other routine works at home. His friend Siddharth Pithani lived in another room at his house.

Neeraj has been working for Sushant since May 11, 2019. Speaking to India Today, Neeraj said, “Previously, 10 to 12 people used to live in the house. Later, sir [Sushant] removed a few and Rhea [Chakraborty] madam asked others to vacate.”

As reported earlier, Rhea Chakraborty left the house on June 8. “That day, Rhea left around 1.30 pm. She had asked me to pack her clothes. His sister Meetu Singh came home at 5 pm and stayed for nearly three days. She left on June 12th or 13th,” he said.

According to Neeraj, Sushant did not have his dinner on June 13, the day before he died by suicide. “He asked us to prepare mango shake and had that before he slept,” he said

Explaining what happened on the day of Sushant’s suicide, he revealed, “On June 14th morning, he came out of his room and asked for chilled water. But, he was not feeling well and seemed tense. Keshav asked him what he wanted for breakfast and sir said he wanted nariyal pani [coconut water], orange juice and banana. While he drank nariyal pani and orange juice, he said he will have banana later. When Keshav went to ask what sir wanted to have for lunch, there was no reply.”

That was Neeraj’s last conversation with Sushant. He added, “His door was locked from the inside and he was not answering any calls. That’s when we called his sister [Meetu] and she asked us to try and open the door.”

Elaborating further, Neeraj said, “We called the locksmith and broke the door lock. But, they did not open the door then. After the locksmith left, Siddharth opened the door and was in complete shock. We all saw his body hanging from the ceiling. His sister [Meetu] asked us to bring his body down. By the time we lowered him, his sister had arrived. We tried pressing his chest. Then, when we removed the cloth, we saw a mark on his neck.”

Neeraj also spoke about Sushant’s relationship with Rhea Chakraborty. “Rhea ma’am and sir were happy. But, after the Europe trip, he was not keeping well. Once, she threatened me to leave the job during the lockdown as I was talking to a kachara wala without wearing a mask. But, sir said he will take care of it. The house atmosphere was very good. If Rhea leaves the house even for a few minutes, Sushant sir wouldn’t even eat. Rhea’s brother Showik and his other friends visit home often and they used to have fun,” he said.

Post-Diwali 2019, Sushant left his old house and moved into Rhea Chakraborty’s house for a few months. Later, he shifted to his Bandra home. Neeraj also revealed that when Sushant moved into Rhea’s house, he was under medication, but he didn’t know what treatment he was on.

“Once we had asked for money. We felt that the salary had been cut. But, the house manager said that sir is not keeping well and asked us to adjust,” Neeraj said.

In his statement to the Bihar police, Neeraj explained what Sushant did on the morning of June 14 and how his temperament was on June 13, the day before he died
