Republic Day 2020 : Air Force and CISF contingent 1st in 71st Republic Day Parade
In the 71st Republic Day Parade, the Air Force’s marching contingent got the first place among the three forces, while the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) won the first prize among the paramilitary forces. The Air Force contingent comprising 144 personnel was led by Flight Lieutenant Shrikant Sharma, while the CISF contingent comprising 148 personnel was headed by Deputy Commandant Prabhasimran Singh.
Lieutenant General Asit Mistry led the Republic Day parade as parade commander, while Major General Alok Kakkar of Delhi region was second in command. It was attended by 16 marching contingents of armed forces, paramilitary forces, besides Delhi Police, NCC, NSS and 13 military bands.
