MEXICO – After it was done viral a video where she simulates her presence in a virtual assembly and you can see how she stands from her place, the deputy Valentina batres stated that it was a “Technical error”, and that it was never his intention to leave, he met with his fellow legislators in Mexico City.
“My lack of knowledge in handling digital tools made me make a mistake,” argued Batres through a statement, after criticism and ridicule rained down on him on social networks.
And it is that in the video shared on social networks, the legislator is seen to place a photo as the wallpaper, and she is very confident that she was simulating her presence as she rose from her place, but everything was recorded.
The events were recorded during the appearance of the Secretary of Government, Alfonso Suárez Del Real.
Batres, belonging to the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), party to which President Andrés Manuel López Obrador belongs, acknowledged that he put a photograph of her as a wallpaper during the session and that he turned away from the camera, but that it was to seek technical help to solve the error, no because he wanted to “cheat” his colleagues and absent himself during the appearance.

“I put a wallpaper that showed my frozen image. I stopped for a second to request technical help at home, ”said the Morena legislator.
As agreed by local deputies, for the sessions that are being held in Congress through videoconference, deputies must be present and with the camera on to validate their attendance at the session.
“I had a technical error and I recognize my inexperience in handling digital tools, but it is by no means a simulation at work,” said Batres.
The Batres simulation was warned by the PRD congressman, Jorge Gaviño, who criticized him on Twitter for having absent part of the session in that way.
