Manchester United supporters are demanding more signings, with Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek the only arrival at Old Trafford so far this transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho is a long-term target for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but a move to United does not currently look close, with the Bundesliga club reportedly demanding £108million for the England international.

And with rivals Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur splashing the cash, the Red Devils need to catch up and bring in fresh faces if they want to finish in the top four this season.

Brazilian defender teases over United link

Porto defender Alex Telles has spoken out over his proposed move to Manchester United.

The Brazilian, who scored twice for his side against Braga at the weekend, has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, with United chiefs keen to sign a new left-back.

“I’m a guy who focuses a lot on work, people believe what they want, say what they want in the newspapers, but the most important thing is to be focused on my work,” Telles told Sport TV.

The 27-year-old also reiterated his commitment to the Portuguese champions, but refused to reveal how close he might be to an exit.

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard could link up with his former boss Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite having brought back Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid, Spurs have emerged as suitors for the 27-year-old, who has not started a Premier League game since January.

According to the Daily Star, Mourinho is leading the race for Lingard, who would cost the London club around £30m.

The outlet also claims that Lingard was “seething” at United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after being out of the squad for the 3-1 defeat by Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Valencia could offer Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero a way out of the club, the Mirror reports.

The Reds may move the Argentine stopper on after deciding to keep David de Gea as No.1 between the sticks, while also promising game time to young stopper Dean Henderson.

Romero, 33, arrived at United in the summer of 2015, but most of his appearances have come during cup games.

He was also said to be upset at being dropped for United’s Europa League semi-final clash with Sevilla in August, having been a regular starter in the competition throughout the season.
