Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has predicted Rhian Brewster to leave the Reds this month – but tear it up elsewhere.

Brewster spent last season on loan at Championship outfit Swansea and needs a move this summer to ensure regular Premier League game time.

Sheffield United and Crystal Palace are both interested in snapping up the young Liverpool forward, and Enrique believes this would be greatly beneficial to him.

On Instagram, Enrique wrote: “I believe it will be a great option [going to a team like Sheffield United] for him but for me it will be clear. One – on loan 1 season.

But this weekend the Reds parted with around £70m in fees to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich and Diogo Jota from Wolves.

The deals mean that Liverpool will now have to move players on to balance the books, with Brewster at the front of the queue.

The fact Liverpool signed a striker in Jota also appears to spell the end for the forward.
