Memphis Depay admits he is unsure where his future lies with Barcelona eyeing his signature.

The Lyon star has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp where Ronald Koeman is now at the helm.

Depay worked under Koeman when he was in charge of the Dutch national team, a role he recently left to take over in Catalunya.

The Manchester United flop has rebuilt his career and his reputation in France and last season scored 15 times.

He begun this season by scoring a hat-trick for Lyon against Dijon and will return for training with the Ligue 1 outfit, but concedes his future is currently in the hands of his agent.

Memphis Depay is on Barcelona’s radar

“We just have to see what will happen. I’ll report to [Lyon] tomorrow and we’ll see what happens,” he told NOS .

“I haven’t heard much more from my agent. I know that there is interest, but I don’t have much more to say because I don’t know much about it.”

Depay was speaking after the Netherlands had lost 1-0 to Italy in Amsterdam.

The Dutchman is a leading light for his club, but they are without Champions League football this term following a below par showing domestically last season.

And the 26-year-old recently refused to commit his future to Lyon when asked about his next move.

He said: “I do not see the future, I do not know if I will do the full season here. I have been here for four years, I became captain.

“After you have to look at your career, there is no Champions League. At the moment I don’t know.”

Barcelona are set to undergo a mass overhaul as Koeman looks to reinvigorate an ageing squad.

Ivan Rakitic has already left for Sevilla and Luis Suarez could be next out of the door.
