Foden and Greenwood break quarantine rules by having girls in England hotel

Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood have been accused of breaking Iceland’s quarantine rules after having girls in a hotel bedroom.

Icelandic newspaper DV claims they have Snapchat videos from two girls who posed videos of them with Manchester City midfielder Foden and Manchester United forward Greenwood, who were both wearing England leisurewear.

It is believed they were from Sunday following England’s game in Iceland the previous night.

If correct, the meeting could put Greenwood and Foden in clear violation of Iceland’s self-isolation rules.

They currently state the public must self isolate for five days on arrival while elite sports are given an exemption but must stay in a bubble.

DV states: “According to the terms of the exemption, the players were not to meet anyone outside of their own team members outside of the field and were only allowed to go to practices and games.

“The rules the players were subject to have been confirmed by KSI, Iceland’s national Football Federation.

“According to DV’s source, the players were not even allowed to meet their families.”
