Dani Ceballos hints at Arsenal return with reaction to Community Shield win

Dani Ceballos has shared a video of his delighted reaction to Arsenal beating Liverpool in the Community Shield – with some fans suggesting it means he could be on his way back to the club.

Following their FA Cup victory against Chelsea earlier this month, the Gunners won their second trophy within a matter of weeks at Wembley after overcoming Liverpool 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Ceballos, who spent last season at the Emirates on loan at Real Madrid, has recently returned to Spain, but is clearly still following events at Arsenal closely.

Just minutes after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang converted the decisive penalty in the shootout, Ceballos shared a video of his reaction to the victory while watching the game on a laptop.

In the footage he can be heard screaming in joy after Aubameyang’s spot-kick, and he accompanied it with the caption “YEEEEESSSSS !!!!! Congratulations Arsenal!”

It is still unclear what the future holds for Ceballos, and he is being linked with a permanent move to the Gunners.

Judging by his reaction he would be more than happy to go back to the club, and a number of supporters commented on his post pleading with the Spanish midfielder to return.

One said “Yesss Dani! Come back!!” while another added “Come back and win another trophy or two with us this year!”

Ceballos made 24 appearances in the Premier League last season, while he was also an important part of the side which won the FA Cup.

It is believed that Madrid are open to the idea of selling him, although it is not yet clear whether Arsenal would be able to afford the price demanded by the La Liga giants.

The 24-year-old has also been linked with a move to his former club Real Betis, and we could be set for a transfer tug-of-war as his future looks to be resolved.
