The commanding officer asked to remove the tent. Meanwhile, when Chinese soldiers were removing the tent, a sudden fire broke out. After the fire, there was a clash between the soldiers of both the countries. Indian soldiers came to dominate the Chinese. Both countries called their own people. During the violent clashes, more than 40 Chinese soldiers were killed. This is true.
On the intervening night of 15-16 June, 20 Indian soldiers, including Colonel Santosh, were killed and 43 Chinese soldiers were also killed in a violent clash between Indo-China soldiers. This statement of General VK Singh is important because till now it was being claimed that Colonel Santosh was killed by deception, after which Indian soldiers set fire to the Chinese tent.
