‘Immediately remove 52 Chinese apps from your phone’, orders UP STF to employees

The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh has issued a Confidential Letter directing all its employees to remove the Chinese app. An internal letter has been issued within the STF. According to this, all 52 Chinese apps have been asked to uninstall as soon as possible, as the possibility of data theft is much higher.
IG STF Amitabh Yash has ordered to remove 52 Chinese apps from mobile. The people of STF and their families have been ordered to remove the app. It is being told that the order has been issued by the STF following the guidelines of the Union Home Ministry. There is a possibility of theft of personal and other data from these apps.
Significantly, Indian intelligence agencies have given a list of 52 such apps to the government which are related to China. There was a demand to block them. This list was prepared in April. This list includes popular apps like Tick Talk, Zoom App, UC Browser, Clean Master, Gender and Share Chat.

However, so far no official statement has been issued by the government to block or not use these apps. Since these applications are used by crores of people in India. The reason behind this is said to be privacy. In the past, Chinese applications have been accused of sending Indian users’ data to Chinese servers.
There are five video sharing apps in this list and it is interesting that most of the Chinese smartphone companies offer some of these apps in their smartphones. These apps are – Tick Talk, Vigo Video, Bigo Live, Weibo, We Chat, Hello and Like. Apart from this, many e-commerce apps are also included.
