Mumbai: Popular Footballer was trapped in airport for 74 days due to lockdown, Aditya Thackeray sent hotel

Ghanaian footballer Randy Juan Muller, who was stranded at Mumbai Airport for 74 days due to the lockdown, has been sent to the hotel. Now he is waiting for the flight services to start going back to his country.

Muller came to India to play for a club in Kerala. He thanked Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray and Yuva Sena official Rahul Kanal for help on Saturday. He said, ‘Thank you Aditya Thackeray, Rahul Kanal. Thank you so much.’
Muller, who came to play for a club in Kerala, was supposed to return to his country by a Kenya Airways plane, but was caught at the Mumbai airport after the lockdown was imposed.

Kanal said, ‘He used to spend his time in the attractive artificial gardens of the airport and somehow buy food from the stall. Spent his time with the airport staff. Muller told me that the airport staff helped him a lot. ‘

A Twitter user pointed Aditya Thackeray towards the footballer’s predicament. Kanal then helped him to a hotel.
