Lockdown 5.0
new Delhi. Various claims are being made by some media institutions regarding the fifth round of lockdown. On this, the Union Home Ministry has clarified that such claims have no merit. The Home Ministry has clearly stated in its clarification that the reports of Lockdown 5.0 are absolutely baseless. Keep in mind that the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) sets the lockdown framework.
In fact, a media institute while publishing the news about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ raised the possibility that PM may also announce the fifth phase of lockdown in this popular program on 31 May.
The Home Ministry spokesman clarified the situation on this and said that this is purely a speculation which is absolutely baseless.

The spokesperson tweeted that it is not appropriate to link these speculations with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The lockdown was declared on March 25 for the first time in the country to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus. Since then, the period of nationwide lockdown has been increased four times. Lockdown 4.0 started on 18 May which will continue till 31 May. However, compared to the first lockdown announced for the period from 25 March to 14 April, the rules are still quite relaxed.
