MNS chief Raj Thackeray said that the Maharashtra government should focus on this and make a record of the migrant laborers in the police station, including their photograph. After this statement by Raj Thackeray, there may be a new twist in the politics of migrants, because before this CM Yogi Adityanath had issued a statement bluntly.

CM Yogi issued the order

Significantly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said on Sunday that any state that wants to bring back the migrant workers of Uttar Pradesh will have to take permission from the UP government and ensure the socio-legal-monetary rights of the workers.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that in view of the corono lockdown, migrant laborers were not properly taken care of by various states. These workers are our biggest resource and we will give them employment in Uttar Pradesh, for this a Pravasi Commission is being set up, which will provide them employment.

CM Yogi Adityanath said in a conversation with a magazine that these are our people and if some states want to call them back, they have to get permission from the state government. He said that migrants should protect their rights and should receive utmost attention and importance.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that all the migrant workers are being registered and their skill mapping is being done. Any state or entity interested in inviting migrant workers will need to be assured and provided for their socio-legal-monetary rights.
