The Government of India has issued an advisory for the application zoom used for video conferencing. The government has not said that this app is right for security.

The lockdown continues in the country due to the catastrophe of the Corona virus. In such a situation, people are using video calls to connect with each other. For the video calling / conferencing app Zoom, an advisory has been issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, which states that this app is not safe, so people should use it carefully.

On behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs, it was said that the government had earlier given information about this on February 6, March 30, so people should be cautious on it.

The government has said that even if people are using it, then keep in mind some important things. Keep changing the password continuously, be cautious while allowing anyone in the conference call.

To talk on Zoom, the Ministry of Home Affairs has given these suggestions, which can be taken cautiously by following:

• Use new user ID, password for every meeting.

• Enable the waiting room, so that any user can join the call only when the conferencer gives permission.

• Disable the join option.

• Keep the option of screen sharing only with the host.

• Keep the option of Reswine off for any person.

• Use the file transfer option to a minimum.
