Madhya Pradesh / Congress claim- BJP holds 9 MLAs hostage in Gurgaon hotel; Digvijay said – All our 6 MLAs are ready to return

Bhopal / New Delhi. The allegations of horse trading leveled at BJP by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh sparked a huge political uproar from Tuesday morning to late night. Digvijay had tweeted and alleged that BJP leader Bhupendra Singh has taken MLA Rambai (suspended from BSP) from chartered plane with him to Delhi. After this, political mercury rose further as BJP vice-president and former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh reached Delhi in the evening. Late night news came that BJP has collected a total of 9 MLAs including 6 Congress MLAs at ITC Maratha Hotel in Gurgaon.

After this, ministers Jeetu Patwari and Jayawardhan Singh were sent to Delhi from Bhopal in the night. Patwari told Bhaskar that by the time we reached the hotel, all the MLAs had been taken from the hotel to some unknown place. Only Rambai was found outside the hotel. According to the news agency, around 2 pm some MLAs were seen leaving the hotel with their belongings. Digvijay present in Delhi said, “BJP leaders Rampal Singh, Narottam Mishra, Arvind Bhadoria, Sanjay Pathak were going to distribute money to the MLAs. I think there will be 10-11 MLAs in the hotel. Only 4 are with him (BJP). All our 6 MLAs are ready to return. Bisahulal Singh and Ramabai were also contacted. Both want to return, but the BJP is blocking them. Congress will press conference on this issue today.

Shivraj went to Delhi in the evening, where Bhupendra and Narottam were already there.

Around 9 MLAs were stopped by the BJP at a hotel in Gurgaon.
Ministers Jitu Patwari and Jayawardhan left for Delhi as soon as they felt it.
By the time the two reached the hotel, all the legislators were sent elsewhere.
Patwari told Bhaskar – he found Rambai just outside the hotel.
Digvijay said- 5 MLAs have been taken hostage in the hotel.

Digvijay also reached the hotel after receiving news of the gathering of MLAs in the hotel, but he did not find any here. Digvijay told Bhaskar that MLAs Bisahulal Sahu, Rambai, Congress Hardeep Singh, Independent MLA Surendra Singh have been taken hostage by BJP. They are all in the hotel and I am not allowed to go to the hotel. Although I have spoken to all the MLAs, they will all come together in the morning. CM Kamal Nath also kept trying till late night to contact the MLAs present in Delhi.

BJP leader silenced … phone switch off of all MLAs

The MLAs present in the hotel got their phones switched off when Bhaskar called the night. BJP leaders have also kept silence on the whole incident. Sources said that the hotel also has SP MLA Rajesh Shukla, Gohad MLA Ranvir Jatav, Girraj Dandautia, Sanjeev Kushwaha. However, Digvijay did not confirm their names.

MLA from Sabalgarh Baijnath Kushwaha said- BJP has given me an offer. It is recording. He also met Minister Govind Singh. Damoh MLA Rahul Singh said- I also got the offer.

Tripathi-Cole did not reach the meeting

BJP MLAs Narayan Tripathi and Sharad Cole, shocked by cross voting, have again put the party in doubt. State President VD Sharma called a meeting of MLAs of Rewa, Shahdol division, both of which were absent.
