Sena hits Centre on failing to control Delhi violence : centre made country look bad in front of foreign guest, situation looks like 84 riots!
Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece Saamana has said riots continued unabated in Delhi while US President Donald Trump was visiting the capital and it does not look good on the country.
Shiv Sena has once again hit out at the Centre and Union Home Ministry in particular over the violence that rocked Delhi for 3 days resulting in the deaths of 18 people so far and massive damages to shops, houses and properties of locals.
Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece Saamana has said riots continued unabated in Delhi while US President Donald Trump was visiting the capital.
“When Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump were holding talks, Delhi was burning. Whatever may be the reason but central government failed to maintain law and order in the capital,” said Shiv Sena.
The editorial has further said, “For the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, BJP still blames Congress. After the assassination of Indira Gandhi, the Sikh community was targeted in Delhi and hundreds of Sikh brothers were killed.”
“There is a similar outbreak of violence in Delhi right now and people have taken to the streets with swords and revolvers. The scenes in Delhi that we are witnessing are scary. Who is responsible for this? And this was the situation in Delhi when President Donald Trump was in the capital and it does not look good on us,” the Saamana editorial said.
Sena also hit out at the Indo-US defence deal worth $3 billion in which US is selling military weapons and equipment to India.
“In his speech, Trump warned Pakistan to end terrorism. Trump is going to deliver destructive missiles to India to fight Pakistan but this is ultimately a trade and we have to pay billions of dollars for it. Trump praised Modi at least 25 times and hugged each other. 25 hugs cost us $3 billion,” said Shiv Sena.ADVERTISEMENT
“The bigger question is why after having all equipment and power Delhi riots could not be stopped. With great courage Article 370 and 35A were removed and same courage should have been shown to stop Delhi riots,” the editorial has said, slamming the Centre.
