Restrictions: Ban on making Tiktok videos and taking selfies in Golden Temple, posters placed in Temple

The Golden Temple management has prohibited the making of Ticketock videos and taking selfies inside the campus. This decision has been taken after a video surfaced in which some youngsters are shown dancing and playing songs. It is becoming viral on social media. The apex committee, which has decided on matters related to Sikhism, has put up posters in the Golden Temple warning devotees not to make tick talk videos at Harmandir Sahib. Earlier, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh had said that if the devotees continue to make Tiktok videos in the Golden Temple complex, then a ban on phones can be considered.

What is the matter?

In the Darbar Sahib in Amritsar, after the girls made a Tiktok video, the jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib had indicated that mobile phones were banned in the premises. After this, TikTok was banned completely on Saturday by posting posters.

Meanwhile, this morning, the SGPC task force teams made the youth coming here aware of this and put up warning posters and instructed them not to make tiktok. The SGPC has instructed the staff posted in Darbar Sahib to check the mobiles of the pilgrims who come to pay their respects and get their bells shut.
