Politics/ Prashant Kishor to join TMC
Kolkata. In the political corridor of West Bengal, there is such a buzz that Prashant Kishore can join the ruling Trinamool Congress. Prashant Kishore was expelled from the party by the JD (U) on Wednesday. When contacted, top leaders of the Trinamool Congress did not confirm any such developments but did not rule out such possibilities in the near future.
The PTI tried several times to contact Kishore, who is playing the role of election strategist for the Trinamool Congress, but did not get a reply. Like West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Kishore has also been critical of the revised citizenship law and the National Population Register. According to Trinamool Congress sources, Kishore has a very good relationship with the party supremo Banerjee.
Trinamool Congress general secretary Partha Chatterjee told reporters, Prashant Kishore as an electoral strategist has done a great job for the party. Now whether or not he will join the Trinamool Congress, he (Kishore) and the top leadership of the party will decide.
A Trinamool Congress leader, on the condition of anonymity, said that if Kishore wants to join the party, he will be welcomed with open heart because a strategist like him joined the party before the 2021 assembly elections.
