New Delhi: Happy Republic Day 2020: Like every year, this year too, the country will celebrate Republic Day on 26 January. On the day of 26 January, the Indian Constitution was implemented in the country. Since then, every year this day is celebrated as Republic Day. Explain that on 15 August 1947, India became a free country due to the Indian independence movement. After independence, India did not have a permanent constitution of its own. On 29 August 1947, a drafting committee of the constitution was formed, headed by Dr. BR Ambedkar. The drafting committee prepared the constitution on 4 November 1947 and submitted it to the Constituent Assembly. After this the constitution was discussed. The Constituent Assembly passed the constitution on 24 January 1950. Two days later, on 26 January 1950, the Constitution was implemented in the entire country. A special Republic Day parade is organized every year on Rajpath to celebrate 26 January. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will be the chief guest at the Republic Day Parade this year.
