Oxford University Press has chosen the Constitution as the Oxford Hindi Word of the Year 2019. Oxford also explained the reason for this on its website. He wrote, such a word, which can express the nature, mood, atmosphere and mentality of the past year. Apart from this, it has been chosen because of its enduring cultural importance.

Oxford University Press reported that 22 out of 26 words were included in the printed dictionary, while the other four were included in the digital edition.
This 10th edition of the dictionary contains 384 Indian English words.

new Delhi. The new edition of the Oxford Dictionary includes 26 new Indian English words such as Aadhaar, Chawl, Dabba, Strike and Shaadi. This 10th edition of the dictionary contains 384 Indian English words.

1000 new words like chatboat, fake news and microplastic have also been included in this edition launched on Friday. Fatima Dada, managing director of Oxford University Press, said that 22 of these words have been included in the printed dictionary, while the other four have been included in the digital edition.
