Gary Neville responds to fan who mocked his doomed spell at Valencia

Gary Neville had a brilliant response to a fan who mocked the Manchester United legend’s disastrous managerial spell at Valencia.
The Englishman won eight Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues at Old Trafford, playing more than 600 games under Sir Alex Ferguson.
But he was not able to reflect that success as a manager, winning just 10 of his 28 games in the hot seat at Valencia four years ago.
It has seen the 45-year-old get brutally trolled on social media for his stint in La Liga.
But Neville hit back at one supporter during a Q&A session on Sunday morning who brought up the topic again by making a reference to one of his former team-mates.
Manchester United are looking to plot their path back to the top. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already brought in Donny van de Beek but Jadon Sancho remains Manchester United’s number one target.

The Twitter user posted: “Gary, does your wife ever bring up Valencia.”
And he replied: “No. she thought I was a better right back than him.”
Neville was referring to Antonio Valencia, who played with the Englishman at Old Trafford for two years before his retirement.
The Ecuadorian started off on the right wing before moving to right-back in 2013 as he made nearly 350 appearances at United.
Neville was on commentary duty for Sky Sports as he watched his former side lose 3-1 to Crystal Palace in their opening game of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.
And the Englishman laid into the Red Devils for not prioritising the right positions during the transfer window.
“Well I think [Zaha’s] had the beating of those two Manchester United centre-backs all day,” he said during commentary for Sky Sports.
“He’s got them exactly where he wants them. He’s just not strong enough there Lindelof. It’s a 50/50. It’s weak.
“You can talk about Jadon Sancho all you like, but until they get a centre-back in who can run and defend one-on-one, you’re never going to win a league.
“They’re not going to win the league with that centre-back pairing. They have to get a mobile, quick, dominant centre-back in alongside Lindelof or Maguire. Their defending has been better since Christmas, no doubt, but you’re talking about going up a level.”
But Neville’s comments will not see United change their transfer policy this summer.
