Democratic and Republican leaders of New York had as few times a point in common last night, at least on Twitter: honoring the memory of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a Supreme Court Justice born in Brooklyn (NYC) in 1933, who died yesterday in Washington DC , after a long battle with cancer.
Governor Andrew Cuomo Summed up: “The heart of NY is broken with the passing of Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg. During her extraordinary career, this Brooklyn native broke barriers and the letters RBG took on new meaning, as a rallying cry and inspiration. His legal mind and his dedication to justice leave an indelible mark on America. “
“RBG was a boss. The United States should be grateful for your service. Rest in peace ”, commented the Councilman Joe Borelli.
“A tenacious spirit that advanced this country in justice, equality and morality. She was Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He never backed down from a fight. Tonight his hometown and the world are in mourning, “said the Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Because it is, ”he added, referring to the looming battle if Trump nominates someone for the liberal judge seat.
