Chelsea transfer round-up as Ross Barkley offered to West Ham for Declan Rice

Chelsea have been the standout club of this summer’s transfer window.
Hakim Ziyech arrived from Ajax before last season was concluded, and was soon joined by German star Timo Werner.
The Blues then bought Ben Chilwell from Leicester City to solve their left-back woes, signed Thiago Silva from PSG, and then added Kai Havertz, a brilliant midfielder who could take the Premier League by storm.
But that does not mean their transfer work is done, and while Lampard will now turn his attention to moulding his team on the pitch, there is still plenty to do off it, especially when it comes to potential departures.
Here, we round up the latest Chelsea transfer rumours, which include a possible loan move, the future of a star midfielder, and a rumoured swap deal.
Chelsea considering Hudson-Odoi loan
Chelsea’s recruitment this summer has seen several elite-level attackers arrive, and even though Michy Batshuayi, Pedro and Willian have moved on, Lampard’s squad remains bloated.
And that is why 90min, via Sports Mole, claim the Blues are prepared to loan out Callum Hudson-Odoi this season.
The 19-year-old made 33 appearances last term under Lampard, but 20 of those came from off the bench. He made just seven league starts, and opportunities may be even harder to come by this time around.
As such, Lampard is reportedly happy for the youngster to leave on loan in search of regular football. Hudson-Odoi still has four years left on his contract he signed last season.
Lampard rules out Kante exit
Throughout this summer, reports have emerged that Chelsea are willing to sell N’Golo Kante for the right price.
Lampard, however, says that will not happen and he has every intention of having the French World Cup winner in his side.
“I think pretty much every club in the world would want N’Golo Kante,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live. “I saw those reports as well. He’s an incredible player and I certainly don’t want to lose him, no. He’s fundamental to what I’m trying to do.
“We can obviously talk about the attacking players we have but someone like N’Golo and the work he does in midfield.
“It was a difficult year for him last year because of the injuries. He came into the season with an injury and it was a domino effect through the year which he hasn’t had and was probably the culmination of game, game, game for himself so I’m really excited to have him fit.
“He looks fit and fresh at the moment so, no, he’s a big deal to me and of course I want to keep N’Golo.”

Chelsea are prepared to offer Ross Barkley to West Ham United in order to land Declan Rice from the Hammers.
Football Insider reports the Blues are set to submit a bid in their pursuit of the England midfielder that will include Barkley and cash.
Chelsea value Barkley at £30 million and are willing to let the 26-year-old leave this summer.
He has three years remaining on his contract but is behind Havertz and Mason Mount in the attacking midfield pecking order.
West Ham, however, value Rice at £80 million and are hesitant to sell for anything less than that price.
