Cara De La Hoyde has opened up on suffering with ‘mum guilt’ after giving birth to her second child.

The former Love Island winner, 26, and her husband Nathan Massey, 28, welcomed daughter Delilah back in July and are already proud parents to son Freddie, two.

But it seems parenting two children is proving difficult for the doting mum, who is finding it hard to equally divide her attention between both kids.

Cara admitted she was concerned she is naturally spending more time with her newborn.

Little Delilah also has colic, which means the new mum is diverting more of her attention towards their baby.

Cara gave birth to Delilah in July

Colic is when an infant who isn’t sick or hungry cries for more than three hours a day, more than three days a week, for at least a week.

Taking to Instagram during a Q&A session, she truthfully opened up on her experience of becoming a second-time mum.

She wrote: “Mum guilt has been in overdrive the last few weeks.

“Especially because I’m exclusively breastfeeding and with the colic on top Delilah is taking up so much of my time.

“I’m trying to do as much with him as I can when she sleeps & I try to bath and put him to bed every night.”

She also explained how their son has been “acting out” with a new baby in the household.

He has even been “swearing” in a bid to get his parents’ full attention.

One fan asked how Freddie is coping, and Cara replied: “Not well at all, it’s been really hard, he been acting out, swearing and in general doing anything to get out attention (which has mostly been him being naughty).

“But it’s a learning process for us all and it’s getting better everyday! He loves Delilah so much just not me and Nath so much sometimes.”

Cara’s baby girl suffers with colic, and the star says it’s already put her off having more children “straight away”.

She also revealed she “wanted to die” during her horrific labour.

The reality star knew what she was in for the second time round as she has previously been through the birthing process.

During the Instagram chat, one fan was curious to know if her labour was painful.

She honestly replied: “Horrific! No joke how you’re going through it and not dying I have no idea.

“Take whatever pain relief you want, don’t be a hero for the sake of it but I did it again so you do forget about it.”

She added: “But [it] honestly was a lot easier. Like I still wanted to die but it didn’t seem as bad after the first time.”

Asked about Delilah’s condition, the mum-of-two revealed: “Not gonna lie, sometimes not very well, had lots of tears and had to walk away alot when it’s too much.

“We’ve tried infacol, I’ve changed my diet, I’m also looking into taking her to an osteopath & lots of passing her between us and taking turns. But my goodness it really is awful.”

Another follower was curious to know if she and Nathan will ever have another baby.

She responded: “Maybe when they are both at school age but maybe not anytime soon.

“If I’m honest having a colic baby has really put me off going again right now.”
