Mason Mount ‘unhappy’ with Chelsea’s mega-money Kai Havertz transfer

Mason Mount has reportedly been left disgruntled by Chelsea’s £72million signing of Germany international Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Blues completed the transfer of the 21-year-old this week after months of speculation linking Havertz with a move to Stamford Bridge.
He is the latest in a string of exciting attacking recruits to arrive in west London this summer, alongside striker Timo Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech.
Havertz’s arrival takes Chelsea’s summer spending to over £200million and the injection of young attacking talent means the Blues are tipped to be an exciting prospect next season.
But one man who will not be so happy about the signings is Mount.

The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive debut top-flight campaign during which he featured in all but one of Chelsea’s Premier League games last season.
Given the talent brought to Stamford Bridge this summer, however, Mount’s position in Frank Lampard’s starting XI appears to be under threat.
And the England star is especially unhappy about Havertz’s transfer, according to German outlet BILD.

It has caught the eye that when defenders Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell were unveiled as Chelsea players, Mount greeted the duo with tweets – but there has been no such social media welcome for Havertz.
Mount’s form last year saw him break into the England set-up and he has gone on to earn six Three Lions caps.
He will be desparate to build on his first top-flight season but will no doubt be concerned his minutes will be limited by Havertz’s arrival.
The attacking midfielder – who can also play up front or out wide – is considered one of the most promising youngsters in Europe.
Havertz made 45 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 18 goals and providing nine assists.
Meanwhile, Mount found the back of the net eight times and registered six assists in his 53 games.
