Wales and Republic of Ireland went first on Thursday, now it’s Scotland and Northern Ireland’s turn on Friday night. Here’s how you can watch the games – and enjoy a little flutter.
Scotland vs Israel
Sky Sports Main Event are showing Scotland’s Nations League curtain raiser, which kicks off at 7.45pm on Friday.
There will be no Hampden roar – but home advantage could still prove significant.
Israel do not travel well. Now under the caretaker management of Willibald Ruttensteiner they have lost four straight away trips, conceding an average of 2.75 goals.
Since September 2018 they have won just once on their travels, in Latvia last June, losing seven of eight.
On their last visit to Scotland in November 2018, Scotland beat Israel 3-2 after the visitors took a shock early lead.

After a dreadful four-game losing sequence Scotland have now won three in a row against San Marino, Cyprus and Kazakhstan and will be confident of extending that run.
Israel lost their last two against North Macedonia and Poland.

Romania vs Northern Ireland
Okay we know it’s nearly autumn, but this is the first home game of the calendar year for Romania – and Romania have not lost their first home game of a new calendar year since …. 2010.

The match is on Sky Sports Football at 7.45pm and Romania have a good record in this competition; they have still to taste defeat, winning three and drawing three to finish second in Group C4 behind Serbia and earn promotion.
However, their Euro 2020 campaign – against better opposition – was less impressive. They could only beat the Faroe Islands and Malta and draw against Norway, finishing fourth behind Spain, Sweden and Norway.
Romania also have a good head to head against Northern Ireland, unbeaten in their last three, winning two.

Ian Barraclough has taken over as Northern Ireland coach since they ended 2019 with a 6-1 defeat by Germany amd there’s always the potential for “new boss bounce.”
But a low scoring defeat looks the logical outcome.
Northern Ireland scored only nine times in their eight Euro 2020 qualifiers, while Romania managed only 17 in 10 games – 12 against Faroe Islands and Malta.
Under 2.5 goals is a skinny 8/15 but Romania to win to nil at 11/5 is much likelier or you can cover 1-0 and 2-0 wins at 5/1 and 8/1 respectively.
