LG bans home quarantine, Delhi government says – arbitrary decision will weaken war

On LG’s order regarding home quarantine of Corona patients, the Delhi government says that ICMR guidelines are still applicable to the rest of India, then why are there different criteria for Delhi.

Corona virus is spreading rapidly in the country’s capital Delhi. There are close to 50 thousand patients infected with corona in the capital. At the same time, 1900 of these people have died from this epidemic. Meanwhile, the Delhi government suffered a major setback when Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal banned Corona-positive patients from home quarantine.

That is, in Delhi, patients infected with corona will be institutionalized quarantine only. The Lieutenant Governor has passed an order that those who are infected with Corona will have to stay in the government quarantine for 5 days. On this order of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, the Delhi Government’s home isolation program has been one of the most successful steps in the fight against Corona.

The Delhi government said, “We have treated thousands of mild and asymptomatic people at home so far with daily monitoring and consultation.” According to the Central Government’s ICMR guidelines, the Home Isolation Protocol is being followed strictly.

‘Patients will avoid investigation, there will not be quarantine’

The Delhi government says home isolation has encouraged many people with minor symptoms to come out and get their tests done, as they know that they will not be forcefully taken to a hospital or quarantine center. Today, the central government’s order to ban home isolation will discourage people from investigating. Coronet patients with asymptomatic and mild symptoms will avoid examination and will not have quarantine, as a result the infection will spread further.
