Notification: Now there will be entrance exam for admission in CS

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is set to make a major change in CS education. Under this, now students taking admission in Company Secretary (CS) will have to give entrance exam. The process of entrance exam can start with the new registration in December -2020. The institute is working in this direction.

Its purpose is only that, students can test their ability properly in the entrance exam and they do not face any problem after registration. Earlier till now, direct registration was done in CS after class 12th. Also, the graduates used to get direct entry in the executive course, but now the entrance exam will be compulsory for both, which will allow better students in it.

CSET is the name given to this enterence exam

• The Institute has named this entrance exam as the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSET).
• Currently CS Education is divided into 3 categories – Foundation, Executive and Professional.
• According to the new draft, CS Education will be placed in 2 categories Executive and Professional. Students will be able to go to the professional after the executive as before. Registration for members will be valid for five years.
• Duration of CS course will be less after the new changes, but the training period will be 21 months.
