Former BJP MP and senior journalist Ashwani Kumar Chopra dies

Former Bharatiya Janata Party MP and senior journalist Ashwani Kumar Chopra has passed away. Ashwani Kumar was battling cancer for a long time. He died in Gurugram. He was 63. He was a well-known name in the journalism world.

Chopra was a BJP MP from Karnal seat from 2014 to 2019. The party was considering contesting elections again in 2019, but Ashwin Chopra, who was suffering from a serious illness such as cancer, refused to contest the election citing health. Ashwini Kumar, suffering from the disease, was admitted to Medanta Hospital on 06 January 2020. He was being treated by Dr. Ashwini Vaidya.
