WASHINGTON – President-elect Joe biden He has prepared dozens of decrees that he plans to sign in his first ten days in power, including a dozen orders that he will sign this Wednesday, the day of his inauguration, said one of his advisers this Saturday.

Reuniting separated families at the border

New Scientific Advisors

Klain’s letter arrived shortly after Biden will present who will make up his scientific team, including a presidential adviser on science who, if confirmed by the Senate, will serve in the cabinet, something that had never happened and with which the president-elect wants to underline the importance that this issue has for him.

The nominee to become that advisor is the geneticist Eric Lander, the main leader of the Human Genome Project, which between 1990 and 2003 achieved the mapping of all human genes.

He also appointed Lark nelson as Lander’s “number two,” and to Frances Arnold and Maria Zuber – the first American woman to win a Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and the first woman to lead a NASA spacecraft mission, respectively – as co-chairs of the Council of Presidential Advisers on Science and Technology.

At a ceremony in Wilmington (Delaware), Biden said that he wanted those advisers to be the last ones he appoints before reaching the White House because they are “the ones who will have the most impact” on the future of the country’s children.
