Five ministers in Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s cabinet will administer oath to Governor Lalji Tandon at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also tried to address the caste and regional equation by representing ministers from five different communities of Madhya Pradesh.
The Madhya Pradesh cabinet is going to be constituted today on Tuesday, 29 days after the oath of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Five ministers of Shivraj’s cabinet will be administered oath by Governor Lalji Tandon at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also made an effort to address the caste and regional equations by representing ministers from five different communities of Madhya Pradesh.
In the midst of the Corona crisis in Madhya Pradesh, five ministers of the Shivraj government will administer the oath with simplicity to Governor Lalji Tandon Raj Bhavan at 12:00 noon. The cabinet currently includes the names of Dr. Narottam Mishra, Kamal Patel and Meena Singh, besides Tulsiram Silavat and Govind Singh Rajput.
Presently, the form of Shivraj’s cabinet is being kept small in Madhya Pradesh, but the ethnic and social equation has been taken full care of. Meena Singh is being included as a representation of women-tribal class in these. Coming from the OBC category, Kamal Patel is being made a minister, who comes from the Kurmi community.

Tulsiram Silavat coming from the scheduled caste category is getting a place in the Shivraj cabinet. Silavat was the health minister in the Kamal Nath government and is considered close to Jyotiraditya Scindia, who rebelled from the Congress and joined the BJP and is now being inducted into the cabinet. Govind Singh Rajput is getting a place in the cabinet as a representation of the general class Rajput community. Govind Singh Rajput is also considered a supporter of Scindia and was the Transport Minister in the Kamal Nath government.
Narottam Mishra is being given a place in the cabinet as a Brahmin face from the general category. Mishra is considered a veteran BJP leader in Madhya Pradesh. Narottam Mishra has played a very important role in Kamal Nath government’s departure from power and BJP’s return, due to which he was also considered in the race of Chief Minister. He is considered very close to Shivraj, due to which there will be a considerable interference in the government.
Jyotiraditya Scindia left the Congress and joined the BJP after differences with Kamal Nath and former CM Digvijay Singh. 22 pro-Scindia MLAs also resigned from the Congress, including 6 cabinet ministers. Due to this, Kamal Nath’s departure from power and Shivraj Singh Chauhan was crowned. This is the reason why two of Scindia’s supporters are also being included in the Shivraj cabinet.
Let us know that Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who took oath as Chief Minister on March 23 amid Corona crisis, has completed his 29-day term. For so long, Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been running the government alone, due to which the opposition was constantly raising questions. The Congress had termed the two ordinances recently passed by the Shivraj government unconstitutional. In this regard, Congress Rajya Sabha members and senior advocates Vivek Tankha and Kapil Sibal had written to the President accusing him of working by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan without cabinet.
