The joyous moment Mrs Hinch breaks baby news to dad by unveiling her bump
As Christmas presents go, it’s one he will never forget.
Instagrammer Mrs Hinch has revealed the heart-warming moment she surprised her dad with the news she was pregnant – by unveiling her bump during a Christmas Day family quiz.
The heart-warming scenes came after her dad failed to guess the answer to her query “Last question, are you ready? Which celebrity couple are due to have a baby in 2021?”
Looking ready for the quiz to finish, her dad replied: “I haven’t got a clue.”
Mrs Hinch – real name Sophie Hinchcliffe- told him: “They live in Essex”, before laughing as she stood to unveil her bump in a figure hugging black dress.
Overcome with delight and emotion, her dad, wearing a green cracker hat, turned red and cried in joyous scenes, clapping as he sat beside Sophie’s delighted mum.
Sophie, husband Jamie, and their toddler son Ronnie then stood to show off the scan pictures and bump, as her parents and relatives watched via Zoom.
While the pregnancy news was a secret from her dad, Sophie said her mum knew before she did.
The 30-year-old wrote: “My mum however like last time knew before I did. She told me to take a test because “my face had changed” so I did.”
The Instagram star – who has made cleaning an art form – then shared a montage of clips of her growing bump, taken over the last few weeks.
Sophie told fans she was more than half-way through her pregnancy but didn’t know yet if it was a boy or girl.
“I have less time to go than I have been pregnant now,” she shared on Saturday.
She said she had been suffering from “evening sickness’, but that overall her pregnancy was better than her first with son Ronnie.
Sophie wrote: “I could sleep sleep sleep and sleep again. I have had sickness yes but it’s not morning sickness it’s evening sickness.
“I didn’t even know ‘evening sickness’ was a thing but it sure is. As soon as it hit 7pm I knew it.
“But in all honesty guys compared to my pregnancy and blood complications with Ron this has been a delight so far.”
Sophie shared how she was prepping for her new arrival, having learnt lessons the first time round.
“I don’t need half as much stuff as I bought for Ron, I over prepared and didn’t use it all in the end,” she told her followrs. “So I started making a list of what is in my loft of Rons that I can use again this time and also couldn’t resist buying my baby fave must haves from eBay.”
