Sean Hannity brands Seth Meyers an ‘a******’ after Late Night host called him a ‘sociopath’
Sean Hannity ripped Seth Meyers and branded him a ‘hypocritical a******’ after the Late Night host called him a ‘sociopath’ sparking a feud between the TV hosts.
‘You want to call me sociopathic, which you have called many others before, like Trump and Karl Rove. You use the word a lot,’ Hannity said on Thursday.
‘But you are just another limousine liberal socialist, hypocritical a****** who does nothing but spew anti-GOP hate and has virtually nothing positive or productive to add to any political dialogue.’
Meyers, while addressing recent mass shootings in Colorado and Georgia, had attacked Hannity and other Republicans for supporting Second Amendment rights on his Wednesday night show.

Meyers, while addressing recent mass shootings in Colorado and Georgia, had slammed Hannity and other Republicans for their views on gun control on his Wednesday night show
‘As we slowly emerge from the grip of one deadly plague that has ravaged the country for the past year, the coronavirus, we are once again being confronted with yet another deadly plague that has haunted this country for decades – the plague of gun violence,’ Meyers said.
‘In both cases, there has been a small minority of sociopaths with outsized power in politics who stand in the way when the rest of us try to do something about it.’
Meyers said Republicans, the gun lobby and Fox News were ‘making excuses for why the oppose wildly popular gun control measures.’
He blasted Hannity for ‘briefly mentioning’ the Boulder shooting during his prime-time show on Monday before moving on to ‘something much more important’ – President Joe Biden’s fall while boarding Air Force One.
‘Sean, no one’s happier than I am that after a president who fell upward his whole life metaphorically, we ended up with one who somehow did it literally, three times. But my god, get your priorities straight,’ Meyers said.
Meyers then went on to discuss the recent mass shootings further, gun control laws and the Second Amendment.
‘You guys repeat the same bulls**t line every time we go through this awful ritual, that gun safety advocates are somehow rushing to politicize it,’ Meyers said.
Hannity responded on Thursday, calling Meyers an ‘unhinged, far-left socialist Democrat sycophant’ and ‘the worst thing you could say about a comedian.’
‘First off, Seth, why do you have so much hatred and disdain for Americans who just have different political beliefs than your Hollywood liberal beliefs? And why do you always resort to calling those with whom you disagree sociopaths?’
Hannity asked Meyers if he would deny ‘law-abiding taxpaying hardworking Americans’ the right to self defense before blasting him and celebrities he interviews for ‘following one set of rules’ while demanding Republicans follow another.
‘How many of those Hollywood celebrities that you interview, how many bring armed security guards with them to protect them?’ Hannity said.
‘You and the rest of your far-left friends, you want to defund the police.’
Hannity then blasted Meyers for having ‘zero credibility, zero integrity, zero interest of what the truth is’ especially about complicated issues.
‘Then that is why very few people watch your show. And you are not funny, ever,’ Hannity said.
He then brought on two guests, Jason Chaffetz and Joe Concha, who lambasted late night show hosts for ‘not pivoting back to what late night hosts are supposed to do.’
‘The people who actually do comedy are still doing politics on a nightly basis and it is boring,’ Concha, a columnist for the news outlet The Hill.
‘Imaging if you’re a college kid in a dorm and you put on a little late night TV for a little escapism after classes, maybe you went out for a little bit and just have a laugh.’
Concha then slammed Meyers and The Late Show host Stephen Colbert, who previously hosted the political entertainment show The Colbert Report, for discussing how the filibuster has to be abolished and their shows.
‘If I want that, I am pretty sure I can go to some other channels to hear about that sort of thing. It’s CSPAN for comedy and guys like Seth Meyers have become completely insufferable as a resort and predictable.’ Concha said.
Chaffetz praised older late night hosts like Johnny Carson and Jay Leno who ‘kind of picked on everybody a little bit.’
Hannity then prodded liberals to attack him ‘as often as you want.’
‘Just be funny about it. Make it fun. Make it funny. Make us laugh. Because he is kind of really dumb. It’s not even like he has an intelligent argument on his side,’ he said.
