World’s richest dog : 8-year-old dog inherits USD 5 million from late owner

A US man has left his 8-year-old Border Collie dog, Lulu USD 5 million in his will. The dog’s hooman had died last year.

8-year-old dog has gone viral on the internet after inheriting USD 5 million (Rs 36,29,55,250) from her owner, following their death. Yes, you read that right. Lulu, a Border Collie, was left with the mammoth amount after her hooman, Bill Dorris, from Nashville, Tennessee in the US, died last year.

LULU THE DOG INHERITS USD 5 MILLION

The will of Lulu’s owner states that the money will be transferred to a trust, so that it can be used to take care of her. According to the BBC, Dorris left the dog in the care of his friend, Martha Burton. The will states that Burton is to be reimbursed for Lulu’s reasonable monthly expenses.

Talking about Lulu’s relationship with her late hooman, Burton told News Channel 5, “I don’t really know what to think about it to tell you the truth. He just really loved the dog.”

Right now, it is unclear how much Dorris’s estate is worth, but according to The New York Post, his friends revealed that he owned enormous real estate holdings and investments.

Additionally, the large amount that Lulu has inherited does not mean that she or her new owner get a free pass to spend it to their hearts will. The will simply permits Burton to be reimbursed for reasonable monthly expenses. While spending USD 5 million on a dog sounds completely berserk, Burton told New York Post that “she’d like to try.”

This isn’t the first time a pet owner has left a fortune for their lucky dog after their death.
