Anti-terror federal probe agency NIA said on Wednesday it has filed a charge sheet here at a local special court against three arms suppliers in the case of the killing of Hindu leader Amit Sharma, the President of Sri Hindu Takht, Ludhiana in the year 2017.

Officials in the NIA said, in the charge sheet the agency has named arms suppliers Ashish Kumar, Javed, and Arshad Ali alias Munshi, all residents of District Meerut of Uttar Pradesh. They have charged under various sections of India Penal Code (IPC), Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act- UAPA and Arms Act, they said.

They had supplied illegal arms including .32 bore pistols which, along with other weapons/fire arms, were used in target killing cases in Punjab,” the spokesperson said.
