Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart revealed on Sunday that her grandfather has passed away.
The beauty shared an old photograph of him as she talked about his ‘simple’ life.
And the 24-year-old actress also shared that she was not able to say one last goodbye due to the pandemic: ‘I wish I could’ve seen him one last time.’

She got straight to the point with her 26.6 million followers: ‘A few days ago, I lost my grandpa.’
She also commented on how the circumstances of the global pandemic had prevented her from being with her loved ones, stating: ‘It breaks my heart that I can’t be with my family during this time, as we experience this loss.’
The actress went on to remark how, in lieu of sharing her grief with her relatives, she had chosen to go through her memories and reflect on the most endearing aspects of her grandfather’s personality.
‘I’m remembering him on my own, as a simple man from Ohio who loved his Cleveland sports teams and who fell asleep in front of the tv watching old western films,’ Reinhart wrote.

She also told her followers about the more intimate side of her relative’s personality and how his relationship with her grandmother had gone strong for multiple decades.
The Chemical Hearts actress elaborated: ‘He was married to my grandma for 61 years and always called her “babe,” which I thought was the sweetest thing.’
Reinhart finished her message with a proclamation that despite not being able to say a proper goodbye she would not forget the impact that her grandfather had made on her life.
‘I wish I could’ve seen him one last time but I’ll forever hold him in my heart. Love you, grandpa.’
