Ralph’s approach to Hollywood is ‘one foot in, one foot out.’
The actor, who became a household name in the 1984 movie The Karate Kid, said of Phyllis: ‘Without her and without the foundation and the family we established, “one foot in, one foot out” would have been very, very difficult on my own.’
Adding: ‘Because there would not be balance.’
Ralph and Phyllis met when he was 15 at his cousin’s birthday party, which took place in his grandmother’s basement.
He became a household name at 22 with his role as Daniel LaRusso in the 1984 hit The Karate Kid.
