A 4-year-old boy died and another 6 is hospitalized after they were hit by a vehicle that fled the scene in Brooklyn (NYC) yesterday.
Authorities said shortly after 9 a.m. the children were run over on 67th street, between 20th and 21st avenues in the section Bensonhurst, just around the corner from PS 205, The Clarion School.
A blue minivan left the scene of the crash, but police said the driver was later contacted and returned to the scene, it said. Pix11.
It was not immediately clear if the children attended classes there. Both victims were taken to hospital by Hatzalah emergency services before the FDNY arrived at the scene, authorities said. The 4-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the hospital and the 6-year-old was in critical condition.
