Strictly's Dianne Buswell opens up on marriage plans with boyfriend Joe Sugg
Dianne Buswell has spoken out about her relationship with Joe Sugg and explained why they are in no hurry to walk down the aisle.
The 31-year-old Strictly Come Dancing professional has been inseparable from YouTuber Joe, 29, since they were paired in the 2018 series.
While they have looked loved up on social media, with many posts of them together, as well as launching vlogs and podcasts as a couple, Dianne said she “doesn’t really talk” about marriage or their long-term future with Joe.
Instead, Dianne said that she would rather “play it by ear” as she doesn’t like to “over-plan things.”
She had her first enforced time away from Joe at the end of 2020, as she had to isolate with her Strictly partner, Max George from The Wanted.
Once they had been voted off the series, Dianne shared a number of romantic loved-up snaps of her with Joe as they reunited after some weeks away from each other.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Dianne opened up about marriage talk: “I’m quite an unorganised person actually, Joe and I don’t really talk about that kind of thing.
“We’re both so relaxed so we just play it by ear. We really enjoy each other’s company so much and whatever happens, happens.”
The coronavirus pandemic has meant that Dianne hasn’t been able to hook up with her family in Australia and she said that she is missing them dearly.
She said that this is the “toughest thing” she has to deal with each day, especially as she was forced to cancel her trip Down Under at Christmas.
Fortunately, Dianne said that she is loving being in the UK with Joe and that she is happy that she gets to do the work she loves.
Her return to the home she shares with Joe was tempered by some horrific trolling on social media, which she exposed to help raise awareness for Anti-Bullying Week.
Shortly after being eliminated from Strictly, she hit out a troll he labelled her “disgusting” and that she had “rat like features”.
Dianne shared the DM with her followers and said that she was lucky in being able to “brush off” horrible comments like that but said “you never know what others are going through”.
Sharing the message, Dianne wrote with it: “It’s Anti-Bullying Week! Think before you speak or type you never know what others are going through.
“I receive loads of msgs like this one daily. Lucky I can just brush it off but for some people that’s not the case. Stop cyber bullying.” (sic).
