Gino D’Acampo has revealed that some of the requests he receives from fans can be very much of the X-rated nature.

The 44-year-old celebrity chef, who rose to fame for his cooking slots on This Morning before winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, has spoken about the naughty post he gets.

The TV personality will be taking the helm of Family Fortunes when it returns to ITV and the cheeky chef said that some of the messages he reads from fans are definitely not ‘family’ orientated in nature.

Speaking ahead of the new series, the Italian cooking star said: “We do get a lot of things through the post off people, all sorts of weird and wonderful things.

“I don’t know about wonderful. The weirdest? I get asked a lot to sign personal things, like knickers, bras.

“I get dirty ones as well. But I get asked really weird things, which I don’t understand why you would ask me. I got asked once — not once, a few times — to be present as the couple were making love.”

Gino admits that taking up these offers are furthest from his mind.

After being asked about the indecent proposals, he replied: “No, man. No, no, no. No absolutely not. Flipping weird people out there, I can tell you that.”

Gino himself has been a happily married man for many years, spending the past 26 of the them with his wife Jessica.

They married 19 years ago and have two boys together, Luciano, 18, and Rocco, 15, as well as a seven-year-old daughter, Mia.

He said that their relationship works well and that he has found that when away from his family for filming, the best thing he can do is… ignore them completely.

Gino said: “When we do Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip, we are away for six to eight weeks. I think the secret is not to call the family often.

“My point is always, ‘OK guys, you can call me and I can call you whenever you want, but only if there is something important.

“Let’s not start to get to this thing where we call each other for the sake of it.’

“The more you call, the more you miss them. If you don’t call the family, the time flies.

“All of a sudden, you turn around and say, ‘Oh wow, five days have gone?’

“Then you’ve got something to say. So that’s always been my secret, but everybody has a different way of doing it.”

Gino goes on to explain how this approach works for his marriage and why it is something that other couples should embrace.

He added: “I’ve been married now for 19 years. We’ve been together for 26 years. The secret is everybody should also live their own life. You can’t expect, just because you’re a couple, that you have to do everything together.

“You know, we have loads of holidays together, we spend a long time together throughout the summers, Christmas holidays, but then there are also times when we don’t see each other for weeks, and I think that’s the cool thing.

“Then, when you meet again, you’ve got loads of things to talk about, loads of things that happened and that’s how you keep everything fresh. That is my secret.”
