Arsenal fans have spotted Eddie Nketiah’s “angry” reaction to the way their first goal was scored against Leicester.

The Gunners maintained their 100% record in all competitions as they saw off the Foxes 2-0 in the Carabao Cup third round.

And the young Englishman got his second goal of the season when he poked the ball into the back of the net on 90 minutes.

But footage has emerged that the 21-year-old was not happy about how the north London side got the lead.

In the clip, winger Nicolas Pepe is carrying the ball down on the right wing with 57 minutes gone at the King Power Stadium.

He drives the ball to the middle of the box, pushed back to the Ivorian by goalkeeper Danny Ward.

The winder puts the ball in with Nketiah waiting in the middle of the penalty box – but the ball does not make it that far, bouncing off Christian Fuchs into the net.

Mikel Arteta’s players and staff start celebrating from the sidelines, except for the 21-year-old.

The Englishman shouts at the area where the ball was intended for before throwing his hands in the air and turning away.

But he does join his team-mates seconds later in congratulations for the build-up, taking a cheeky slap from Pepe.

It was not the first time Nketiah showed his emotions in the game, having yelled at Reiss Nelson in the first half.

The forward drove a shot across goal, hitting wide of the target – but the 21-year-old was standing in space on the right, screaming at his team-mate for not giving the ball over.

This footage was shared on Twitter, where the Gunners faithful hailed Nketiah for his goal-scoring desire.

While the team started celebrating, his initial reaction was frustration at not getting the goal, which was rectified for the second goal

“He has the hunger to finish off the game,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “Has an absolute thirst for goals – my striker.”

While a third sent a warning to the club, with: “He’s incredible – just needs time.”

It comes as Arteta admitted that his side is “evolving” after their fourth consecutive win of the season.
