“There is growing evidence about the benefits of turmeric on the brain,” Young said. “Some studies suggest that it is also useful for treating depression.”
While most studies have been done with turmeric, or curcumin, in pill form, that may not be the best way to consume the spice if you expect medicinal benefits, he said.
